Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate, manufactured by Bonide, is a reliable insecticide and fungicide concentrate that protects ornamentals from a wide range of diseases and insects without leaving behind offensive odors.

Once applied, this triple-action concentrate is absorbed through the plant’s leaves and roots, offering protection from the inside out. This systemic action ensures long-lasting defense against pests and diseases such as leafminers, whiteflies, black spot, and more.

Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate is an effective clear insecticide and fungicide formula that simplifies plant care by combining pest and disease control in one easy-to-use product.

Tools Needed

It can be applied with a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage of the treatment area by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A general application will use 3 fl. oz. of Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate in 1 gallon of water.
  • Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the measured amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake well until mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray uniformly to wet the top and bottom of leaves, but not to runoff. For disease control, re-apply in 7-14 days, if necessary. Insect control lasts for up to 30 days. Reapply as needed.

Where to Use

Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate can be used for roses, flower beds, and landscape ornamentals such as trees and shrubs, foliage plants, and groundcovers.

When to Use

Apply when listed insects and diseases are present or as a preventative. Early applications are the most effective.

Do not apply this product to plants that are flowering. Only apply after all flower petals have fallen off.

Safety Information

Bonide Rose Shield Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

People and pets may re-enter after the treated area has been allowed to dry.

Special Considerations

This product is non-staining to most home siding depending on age and cleanliness. However, before using in areas where the spray may contact home siding (vinyl siding in particular), test in an inconspicuous area and recheck in a few hours. Do not use if any staining is observed.
