Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer.
Use a plastic, fiberglass, plastic-lined steel or stainless steel sprayer. Do not mix, store, or apply in a galvanized or unlined steel sprayer/ container.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Kleenup HE Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For annual weed control, use 3-6 fl. oz. of Bonide Kleenup HE Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate per 1 gallon of water to treat spots in 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the tank sprayer with half the amount of water, add the measured amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply as a spot treatment or directed spray to the weed until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Bonide Kleenup HE Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate can be used outdoors on patios, paths, walkways, driveways, sidewalks, mulch, and around fences and buildings; in and around flower beds and gardens and around ornamental shrubs and trees; and to edge landscape areas.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are actively growing. For best results, apply during warm, sunny weather (above 60 degrees Fahrenheit) to accelerate systemic movement from foliage to roots.
Safety Information
Bonide Kleenup HE Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the spray has completely dried.
Special Considerations
While it is possible to reseed or replant immediately after the spray has dried, please wait at least 4 days after application before reseeding or replanting to ensure that this product has had sufficient time to kill the weeds
