Bonide Grass Beater ll Over the Top Grass Killer Concentrate, manufactured by Bonide, is an easy-to-use selective herbicide concentrate that eliminates large to small infestations of weeds with one swift application for the average homeowner.

This emulsifiable concentrate herbicide functions as a systemic, which means it will travel throughout the weed all-the-way to its roots for complete elimination. With its active ingredient, Sethoxydim 18.0%, weeds such as witchgrass, bermudagrass, and fescue will be successfully killed off within 14 days of application.

Bonide Grass Beater ll Over the Top Grass Killer Concentrate is a selective post-emergent herbicide that targets a broad-spectrum of broadleaf and grassy weeds in and around bedding plants, flowers, and other residential sites.

Tools needed

This product can be applied with a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or handheld pump sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Grass Beater ll Over the Top Grass Killer Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A general application with a hose-end sprayer will use the rate of 1 fl. oz. of Bonide Grass Beater ll Over The Top Grass Killer Concentrate and 1 fl. oz. oil concentrate to treat 1,800 sq. ft. Apply 1 fluid ounce per gallon. A general application with a tank sprayer will use 1 fl. oz. of the product plus 1 fl. oz. of oil concentrate per 1 gallon of water to treat 1,800 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product and oil concentrate, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
• Step 3: Adjust the sprayer to a fine mist setting then spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff.

Where to Use

Bonide Grass Beater ll Over The Top Grass Killer Concentrate can be used on and around residential flowers, evergreens, shrubs, trees, fruits, vegetables, ornamental groundcovers, and bedding plants. 

Dichondra turfs are also tolerant to this product.

When to Use

Spray when weeds are actively growing not exceeding the minimum of days from application to harvest when used on vegetables and fruits. Warm sunny weather will accelerate systemic movement from leaves and stems down to the roots to give a complete kill.

Be sure to use this product at least 30 days from harvest.

Do not apply if rainfall is expected within one hour following application.

Safety Information

Bonide Grass Beater ll Over The Top Grass Killer Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not allow people or pets to come into contact with treated areas until the spray has dried.

Special Considerations

Do not apply on or around any fruits and vegetables not listed on this label, especially sweet corn.

Apply on and around tolerant fruits and vegetables with a tank-type sprayer only.

A second application may be made to all listed fruits and vegetables except peanuts, root vegetables, and strawberries.
