Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F
Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F is a versatile broad-spectrum liquid insecticide and termiticide that prevents and controls the toughest pests in residential dwellings and commercial and industrial areas.
09/11/25
Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a flowable liquid insecticide that also works as a termiticide product to eliminate numerous pests. This lawn insect control kills soil-feeding insects like chinch bugs, fire ants, mole crickets, army worms, and termites infesting the inside and outside of your home, livestock areas, and lawn.
This flowable product belongs to the pyrethroid chemical class, meaning it is a man-made version of pyrethrin modeled after natural plant oils, which is available for various types of applications like on lawns, ornamentals, greenhouses, and even non-bearing fruit and nut trees. Pyrethrin, as the active ingredient, attacks the pest's central nervous system, leading to faster elimination.
Although it doesn’t offer maximum residual control, Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F is a long-lasting residual product compatible with most herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and liquid fertilizer products. This is further seen with its no-odor formulation with no visible residue, decreasing the damage inflicted upon plants.
Tools Needed
This product may be used with a hose-end sprayer, sprinkling can, or handheld pump sprayer. You will need a bucket, wheelbarrow, and digging equipment like a shovel or pick-axe for trench treatments.
Do not apply by air.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment site in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). The application rate for indoor structures and institutional buildings and on modes of transportation uses 0.02% to 0.06% suspension (0.33 to 1 oz. of Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F per gallon of water). Applications to home lawns will use 1 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Subterranean termites use the 0.06% emulsion rate (3 quarts of product with 99.25 gallons of water). Refer to the label for specific application rates. Do not apply as a broadcast application to the interior surfaces of homes.
- Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer halfway with the required amount of water, add the measured amount of Bifenthrin I/T 7.9Ft, and pour in the remaining half. Close the sprayer lid and agitate until the solution is evenly mixed.
- Step 3: All outdoor applications must be limited to spot or crack and crevice treatments except for treatments to the soil, vegetation around structures, lawns, turf, other vegetation, and building foundations up to a maximum height of 3 feet. Indoor treatments must be applied with low-volume equipment as a general surface, spot, or crack and crevice treatment. During indoor surface applications, do not allow dripping or run-off to occur. Keep all children and pets off the treated area until dry.
Where to Use
Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F can be used in and around homes, commercial and industrial buildings, recreational areas, athletic fields, lawns, ornamentals, greenhouses, in livestock and poultry houses, sidewalks, driveways, patios, porches, food handling establishments, warehouses, grain mills, hospitals, structural surfaces (eaves, windows, doors), around foundation walls, crawl spaces (inside of structure), on flowers, foliage plants, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, shrubs, ornamental trees in interior and exterior plantscapes including those in hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, and others, basement floors, carports, entrance platforms, and slabs.
Do not apply in nurseries, sod farm turf, golf course turf, grass grown for seed, pets, blooming crops, sources of electricity, firewood, food, milk rooms, foodstuffs, food-contacting surfaces, food utensils, water supplies, areas where food is exposed, inpatient rooms, any rooms occupied by the elderly or infirm, in classrooms, libraries, sports venues, other institutional facilities, plants being grown for sale or other commercial use, and plants used in commercial seed production.
When to Use
Use when sites are not occupied, and all food-handling equipment is removed before application. This product can be used as a preventative against pest activity, typically during the spring and summer.
Apply this product on calm, warm days when rainfall and wind are not forecasted for at least 24 hours after application. When treating indoors, we recommend waiting several hours for the product to dry before allowing children, pets, and others to reenter.
Safety Information
Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to contact contaminated areas or reoccupy contaminated areas of the structure until the cleanup is complete and until sprays have dried on treated surfaces.
After treatment, all equipment, benches, shelving, and other surfaces in food-processing plants, bakeries, cafeterias, and other facilities that food will contact must be washed. Clean food-handling or processing equipment and rinse completely with fresh, clean water.
Special Considerations
Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F is not intended as a space spray. This product will not discolor or otherwise harm surfaces that water alone will not discolor or otherwise harm.

Keith's Pro Tips | "Bifenthrin I/T 7.9F can be tank mixed with insect growth regulators and other pesticides. Physical compatibility may vary with different combinations of products, so prepare a small-scale (pint or jar) test sample. Try reversing the order of addition or increasing the amount of water if the combination is incompatible using the listed order. After increasing the amount of water, if the mixture is found to be compatible, it is necessary to recalibrate the sprayer for a higher volume application." |
