Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide
Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide is a well-patented broad-spectrum fungicide and bactericide that quickly controls a wide range of fungal and bacterial diseases in turf, ornamentals, and agricultural crops.
04/10/26
Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide, manufactured by Gowan, is a reliable broad-spectrum, copper-based fungicide and bactericide that’s easy to use and delivers consistent performance across seasons in various agricultural crops.
This dual-copper formula contains a dual-active blend of copper hydroxide 15.36% and copper oxychloride 16.81%, delivering highly effective and long-lasting protection against a wide range of fungal and bacterial pathogens. Hydroxide acts quickly on contact, while oxychloride releases copper more gradually for sustained protection. Formulated as a suspension concentrate, it offers easier mixing, better coverage, and less dust compared to traditional dry copper formulations.
Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide is a fast-acting and long-lasting contact fungicide that attains better efficacy and longer protection with less metallic copper per acre. With Badge SC, you get high efficacy at a lower metallic copper rate, reducing the risk of phytotoxicity especially important in sensitive crops like cucurbits or ornamentals.
Tools Needed
A spray rig, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or chemigation system may be used.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide them by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf, apply 4 to 6 pints of Badge SC Fungicide/Bactericide per 100 gallons of water per acre. For greenhouse and shadehouses, use 0.5 to 3 tablespoons of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer nozzle to deliver fine to medium-sized droplets. For control of foliar diseases, apply as a thorough cover spray to the plant, including the undersides of leaves. Do not spray to the point of runoff.
