Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer
Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer
Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer, manufactured by Nisus Corporation, is a low toxicity odor eliminating product that can be used to eliminate foul smells after pest control treatments or general bad smells that can occur around the home or place of business.
Typical deodorizers try to mask odors by using a strong scent of their own. Bac-A-Zap is different. It is a biodegradable product that uses microbes and bacteria to attack the source of the smell, breaking down the organic matter and eliminating the odor for good.
Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer controls odors caused by urine, feces, vomit, grease, fats, proteins, decomposing plant and animal matter, garbage odors, pet odors, skunks, and other organic matter. Its versatility can further be seen with its ability to be used as a either a spray, fog, or foam for hard to reach areas.
Tools needed
To use Bac-A Zap Odor Killer you will need a handheld pump sprayer, fogging device, 5 gallon bucket, or foamer.
How to use:
- Step 1: Examine area and make sure there is no standing water and any food or food handling equipment in the area. Thoroughly clean areas with the appropriate materials and methods prior to applying Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer. Locate the area where the odor is the strongest and focus your treatment there. Apply as a fog at rate of 1 gallon of mixed Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer solution per 1,000 cubic feet of confined space. To apply as a foam, place Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer at 100% concentration, do not dilute. For drain fly habitats, apply 4 to 6 oz. of undiluted product per drain. For composting, mix 6 to 8 oz. of product per gallon of water per 50 cubic feet of compost.
- Step 2: To apply as a fog, dilute 2 parts water to one part Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer (2:1).
- Step 3: To treat compost or use as a general wash on floors or other contamination that may be used a food or breeding source for phorid and fruit flies. Pour the required amount of water then the measured amount of Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer together then evenly mix. Once the solution is mixed, soak affected areas after removal of contaminants and pour evenly over compost piles. For best results on compost, turn and mix compost pile while adding the mixed product solution.
- Step 4: Continue applications of Bac-A-Zap Odor Killer daily for 5 to 10 days until odors, drain fly, phorid fly, and fruit fly activity has ceased. Once these pests activity and odors has stopped proceed with on-going maintenance 1 to 2 times per week. Composting will need to be treated 2 times per week.
