Adonis 2F Insecticide

Adonis 2F Insecticide, manufactured by Zoecon, destroys various crawling, flying, and wood-destroying insects. 

The product's active ingredient is imidacloprid, which provides an undetectable insect barrier that can last up to three months.

Adonis 2F is also a systemic insecticide, which means that it will work its way through the foliage and root systems of plants. Although it can be used indoors, it is recommended for outdoor use to treat lawns, turf, and perimeters around building structures.

Tools Needed

You will need to use a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or a professional skid sprayer is needed. When making indoor applications, we recommend using the handheld pump sprayer.

If Adonis 2F is being used as a termite trenching method, a wheelbarrow and pickaxe are needed to remove the dirt and a bucket is needed to mix and pour the insecticide solution.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Adonis 2F you will need for your application depending on the treatment area size and the type of pest you are treating for. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Adonis 2F can be applied anywhere from 0.3 fl oz. to 0.6 fl oz. per gallon of water depending on the pest, where you are spraying and severity of infestation. So for example, if you calculated a 3,000 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need to measure out 0.9 to 1.8 fl oz. of Adonis 2F to mix in 3 gallons of water. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with 1/2 of the required amount of water. Shake the Adonis 2F concentrate, and then add the appropriate amount to the sprayer based on your calculations. Fill with the remaining 1/2 of water, close the sprayer lid and shake the sprayer tank until it is thoroughly mixed.
• Step 3: Make spray applications to outdoor or indoor areas specified on the label for the pest you are trying to treat. Use a fan spray nozzle for uniform coverage outdoors or a pin stream for crack and crevice applications indoors. Direct the spray into hiding places, cracks and crevices, under pallets, around containers of stored foods, around the base of machinery and behind shelves and drawers.

Where to Use

As a termite treatment, Adonis 2F can be applied to many areas where termites are suspected or found. When applied indoors of residential or commercial building structures, Adonis 2F can be injected into wood areas or sprayed directly on to surfaces where termites are located. It can be injected into concrete slabs in basements and garages. It can be sprayed on to in crawl spaces onto the soil and wood or structural pieces that make contact with the soil.

Outdoors applications of Adonis 2F can be made to turfgrasses, landscape flowers or bushes, fruit and nut bearing trees on residential properties and indoor plants. It can also be used as a perimeter treatment spray or trenching.

When to Use

This product can only be applied as a termiticide by Certified Professional Applicators. We suggest applying quarterly for continual control as a barrier, spot, and cracks and crevice treatment. Adonis 2F must be used before flowering season or after flower petals have fallen off to avoid killing bees and other pollen carrying insects.

Safety Information

Adonis 2F Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep children or pets away from the treated area until dry.
