Target Pests

Acclaim Extra Kills and Controls Smooth Crabgrass Large Crabgrass Goosegrass Silver Crabgrass Barnyardgrass Foxtail Species Panicum Species Johnsongrass Sandbur Sprangletop Japanese Stiltgrass and Common Bermudagrass.

For Use In

Acclaim Extra is for use in and around the following turfgrass species: Kentucky Bluegrass Perennial Ryegrass Fine Fescue Tall Fescue Annual Bluegrass Zoysiagrass Creeping Bentgrass.


Acclaim Extra Herbicide is a systemic herbicide which controls only grasses which are emerged at the time of spraying. Repeat applications every 28 to 35 days to continue growth suppression. Acclaim Extra can be applied with a pressurized hydraulic sprayer, high volume handgun spray, hand-held sprayer, or backpack sprayer. Do not mow treated areas for at least 24 hours to allow time for penetration and translocation into the grass weeds. Acclaim Extra is compatible in tank mixes with many other commonly used herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.Always follow the use directions in accordance with the respective labels. Acclaim Extra can be applied for control of grass weeds in a wide range of established ornamental species.

Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.

I have a healthy tall fescue lawn, however, it appears "wild" fescue has invaded. Will Acclaim kill the wild stuff without affecting my normal fescue lawn?

BEST ANSWER: No, it will not control one or the other. You can use a pre-emergent to control the spread and follow some maintenance recommendations for a healthy lawn.
I have Japanese stilt grass. How much solution do I add to a one gallon tank sprayer?

Works well!
This product works as advertised when applied according to the instructions. Very effective against the weeds listed and does not harm the good grass.

Happy with Acclaim extra weed killer
Thanks for the quick delivery of the Acclaim Extra crabgrass killer. Early results so far are promising, and I hope this will do the trick in killing this nasty weed that is hard to get rid of.
