ZP Tracking Powder
ZP Tracking Powder
ZP Tracking Powder is used by licensed professionals and produced by Bell Laboratories Inc. to eliminate house mice. This powder's active ingredient, zinc phosphide, is insoluble. The powder is strategically placed in areas where mice travel so that it gets on their feet and fur. When mice naturally clean themselves and ingest ZP Tracking Powder, it creates a toxic phosphine gas as it mixes with their stomach acids. ZP Tracking Powder is ideal to use when mice refuse bait, the infestation is severe, or when hard to reach areas need treatment, such as in between walls.
*This product is a Restricted Use Product (RUP) and requires a Certified Applicator's License to purchase.*
Tools Needed
To apply ZP Tracking Powder, a bulb duster to reach in walls and a spoon to make powder trails are required. Be sure to wear waterproof gloves when handling and applying products.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before applying ZP Tracking Powder, measure the area you want to treat. The application rate for this product is 3 to 6 grams (1 to 2 teaspoons) for each 3 inch x 24 inch patch. For example, if you had a heavy infestation in a 6 inch x 48 inch patch, you would need to apply 12 grams (4 teaspoons) of ZP Tracking Powder.
- Step 2: Once you have measured your area, apply the product. If you are using a duster, apply the powder in wall voids and spaces between floors. If you are using a spoon, sprinkle the powder around your area.
- Step 3: Maintain ZP Tracking Powder in treated areas for seven days or until mouse activity stops. Clean up any powder that is accessible and dispose of it.
Where to Use
ZP Tracking Powder should only be used inside on acid-free, dry areas. It is ideal to place the powder in areas where mice frequently travel, such as along walls, in between walls, in corners, under cabinets, and other areas out of reach of children and pets. It should not be applied in areas where it can become disturbed or airborne, such as air conditioning ducts. It can be used in barns or agricultural buildings as long as it is placed in areas that are inaccessible to livestock and away from feed.
When to Use
Only licensed professionals can use ZP Tracking Powder. It can be applied when other rodenticides have failed to eliminate all mice, and when the infestation is severe.
Safety Information
ZP Tracking Powder is safe to use around children, pets, and livestock when applied according to the product label. Make sure that children, pets, and livestock do not have access to the powder when being applied or when stored. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying ZP Tracking Powder.
Special Considerations
ZP Tracking Powder can only be purchased and applied by licensed individuals or those who work under a licensed pest control agency.
