TurfStar Weed-inator, manufactured by Nelson Plant Food, is a unique fertilizer and herbicide product that targets and eliminates a broad-spectrum of weeds while minimizing impact on desirable turfgrasses. 

This easy to use granular product gives turf owners unbeatable pre and post-emergent weed control at the time of application. Helps controls grass growth to reduce labor intensive watering and mowing, freeing up time for applicators. 

TurfStar Weed-inator is a effective, easy to use spring fertilizer and post-emergent weed control product that gives incredible elimination of weeds. Granules of this product delivers consistent application across your lawn and continues to fertilize lawns for up to 6 months. 

Tools Needed

To apply TurfStar Weed-inator, you will need to use a push or broadcast spreader. 

How to Use 

  • Step 1: Determine how much TurfStar Weed-inator to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 7.5 lbs. of TurfStar Weed-inator per 1,000 sq. ft. 
  • Step 2: After it has been calibrated, load your spreader with the proper amount of TurfStar Weed-inator.
  • Step 3: Irrigate or dampen lawn before applying TurfStar Weed-inator. Spread the granules throughout the treatment area until evenly covered.

Where to Use

TurfStar Weed-inator can be used on new or established turf. 

When to Use

Apply TurfStar Weed-inator during the early spring.
