Topchoice Insecticide Granules, manufactured by Bayer, is a professional-grade granulated insecticide for treating turfs and lawns against imported fire ants and other insects. It controls imported fire ants for up to 1 year and can be applied to residential, public, and commercial properties.
Topchoice's granulated product is easy to apply with a broadcast spreader and does not require mixing. It will also control fleas and ticks for up to 30 days. When imported fire ants damage lawns and harm those who come in contact with them, use Topchoice Insecticide Granules for up to 365 days of elimination.
Tools Needed
To apply Topchoice Insecticide Granules, a handheld, push, or broadcast spreader is needed. The handheld spreader is recommended when applying the granules in small areas to prevent them from entering non-targeted areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: When applying Topchoice Insecticide Granules to common-size residential lawns, begin by calculating the lawn's square footage to ensure the correct amount of product is applied. Measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply the two values to find the square footage (length x width = square footage). Two pounds of Topchoice will treat up to 1,000 square feet.
- Step 2: Pour the correct Topchoice Insecticide Granules into the spreader.
- Step 3: Adjust the spreader setting according to the product label and push the spreader steadily to ensure even coverage. Water the areas where granules were applied for maximum results controlling imported fire ants. Reapply Topchoice Insecticide Granules in 1 year.
Where to Use
Topchoice Insecticide Granules can be applied to turfs and lawns in residential, recreational, and commercial areas. It is ideal for parks, campsites, sod farms, sports fields, schoolyards, landscape flower beds, and more. Do not apply Topchoice Insecticide Granules where it will reach bodies of water such as ponds or lakes, and do not apply the product to paved or concrete roads or sidewalks.
When to Use
Topchoice Insecticide Granules can be applied before or after imported fire ants and another label-listed insect activity is detected. It cannot be used more than once a year.
