The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer
The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer is a high-performance turf blend with quick- and slow-release nitrogen for extended feeding, balanced nutrients for lush, vigorous growth, and uniform granules for precise, professional-grade coverage.
04/13/26
The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer, manufactured by the Andersons, is a perfectly crafted granular fertilizer that delivers essential nutrients for fairways, roughs, and other cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf areas.
This specially engineered fertilizer provides both immediate and extended feeding for grass. The balanced 24-5-11 nutrient profile gives turf what it needs for both growth above the surface (green blades) and strength below the surface (roots and stress tolerance).
What sets this fertilizer apart is its advanced NS-54 slow-release nitrogen coating, which ensures consistent growth without the surge-and-crash effect of quick-release fertilizers. It also contains iron (Fe), which deepens turf color for that coveted rich green.
The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer is a consistent and versatile fertilizer that achieves lush, vibrant, and healthy cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf. And with an SGN (Size Guide Number) of 215, the granules are the ideal size for use on fairways, roughs, and general turf areas large enough for even distribution, but not so big that they leave uneven nutrient coverage.
Tools Needed
You will need a push spreader or broadcast spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For a low rate, apply 2.10 lbs. of The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer per 1,000 sq. ft. For medium rate, use 4.16 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For a high rate, apply 6.25 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For cool-seasoned grasses, use the medium rate or the low rate when temperatures exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit. For warm-seasoned grasses, use the medium or high rate.
- Step 2: Calibrate your spreader based on the settings on the label. Load the proper amount of product.
- Step 3: Walk at a steady pace while spreading to avoid uneven coverage. Make two passes at half-rate in perpendicular directions for best results. Lightly water the granules with 0.2 inches of irrigation after applying to help nutrients penetrate the soil.
Where to Use
The Anderson's 24-5-11 Fertilizer can be used on fairways, roughs, and other cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf areas.
Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.
When to Use
Apply during the turf's growing season.
For warm-seasoned turf, reapply every 4 to 6 weeks during the period of active growth.
