Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer
Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer is a professional selective post-emergent herbicide that quickly eliminates broadleaf weeds in warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turf, even during cooler weather. This has been modified and replaced with SpeedZone EW Broadleaf Herbicide.
11/06/25
Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is a fast-acting, selective, post-emergent herbicide that eliminates a wide range of broadleaf weeds without damaging residential lawns.
With a powerful blend of active ingredients 2,4-D, Mecoprop-p, Dicamba, and Carfentrazone-ethyl it controls stubborn weeds such as dandelions, chickweed, clover, and more within hours, delivering full eradication in 7–14 days.
Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer is a turf-safe post-emergent weed killer that becomes rainfast within 4 hours giving homeowners the flexibility to treat during various weather conditions. This product bridges the gap between professional-grade performance and homeowner-friendly use. It’s easy to mix, apply, and it performs consistently across different turf types.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld sprayer, knapsack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Delay mowing 1 to 2 days before and after the application of this product. Determine how much Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For broadcast applications on cool-seasoned turf, apply 1.4 fl. oz. of Speedzone Lawn Weed Killer per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To make spot treatments in cool-seasoned turf, use 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Depending on the warm-seasoned turf type, use 1.1 or 1.5 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. as a broadcast application. To make spot treatments in warm-seasoned turf, mix 0.75 to 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the recommended rate of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. The maximum number of broadcast applications per treatment site is 2 per year.
