Its easy application, rapid absorption, and versatility make it an essential tool for any gardener, landscaper, or homeowner who cares about plant health and appearance.
Tools Needed
Apply with a hose end, powered, backpack, hose siphon or pump up type garden sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Chelated Liquid Iron to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply at 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) of Southern Ag Chelated Liquid Iron per gallon of water on younger and sensitive plants such as flowering ground covers and vegetables. Apply at 1 ounce per gallon of water on hardy woody landscape plants and trees. For soil and lawn applications, mix 4 oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 500 sq. ft. You can also use 8 oz. of product per 1 gallon of water or more per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray evenly across the treatment, making sure to cover the entire area.
Where to Use
Southern Ag Chelated Liquid Iron can be used for flowers, shrubs, trees, vegetables, and lawns.
Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.
When to Use
Use anytime plants show signs of iron deficiency (yellowing leaves with green veins), especially during active growing seasons in spring and summer, or whenever lawns look pale and need a quick green-up boost.
Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
