Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack
Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack
Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack, manufactured by Solo, is a motorized pesticide blower perfect for weed control and mosquito control.
The Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack has a powerful engine displacement of 66.5 cc with a large capacity tank of 3.2 gallons. You can get a professional-quality misting treatment with this product, which works especially well in fogging to kill mosquitoes and other flying insect pests.
Solo's advanced engine technology makes it so the backpack consumes a low amount of fuel and reduces exhaust gas emissions while still performing at a high level - even when it gets very hot. The Solo452 is ideal for creating a fine mist of pesticide for the control of mosquitoes, parasites, and other crawling and flying pests outdoors.
Tools Needed
The only tools needed to use the Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack is your choice of insecticide liquid to mix into the sprayer tank and the appropriate fuel to power the unit.
How to Use
- Step 1: Check and make sure the shut-off switch is in the OFF position so the liquid doesn't spill all over the floor and before filling it with liquid.
- Step 2: Take the cap off the top and take a look inside. You will see a screen that prevents debris from falling in. Fill it up exactly halfway full with water. After it is filled up halfway, take your chemical of choice and pour it into the backpack according to the proper application rates.
- Step 3: Agitate the backpack a bit and then top off the sprayer with the additional two gallons of water required for proper mix.
- Step 4: When starting the 452, you will need to gently pull it until you feel it is tight and slowly pull steady. Do not jerk it or else you may break the string or the inner controls. The pull should be slow and smooth, unlike lawn mowers that require a strong jerking pull.
- Step 5: Place the Sprayer onto your back and adjust the fogger to the right setting before applying the spray to target areas.
Where to Use
The Solo 452 can be used to control mosquitoes around trees and yards. Mosquitoes live on the underside of leaves so what you'll want to do is spray from the ground up to about 6 to 8 feet and make sure to get underneath all of the leaves.
When to Use
You can use the Solo 452 to spray to prevent flying bugs and overwintering pests. Application timing will vary depending on which chemical being applied. Apply pesticides on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift/
Safety Information
The Solo 452 Mist Blower is safe to use when operated according to the instruction manual. Make sure to have on the proper PPE (gloves, goggles, face mask) before using the 452 Mist Blower. Keep pets and kids away during treatment and wait until the applied insecticide product has dried before allowing them anywhere near treated areas.
Special Considerations
The Solo 452 Mist Blower is mainly used by professionals. If you want to do a small general DIY treatment, we suggest using a hand-pump sprayer.
The Solo 452 Mist Blower Fogging Backpack has been replaced by the Solo 466 Mist Blower Backpack.
