Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective, manufactured by VPG, is a OMRI non-selective concentrate that quickly stops unwanted vegetation around desired trees, shrubs, and flowers.

This easy to use product helps to prepare planting beds before foliage is plants, resulting in little competition with essential nutrients. Additionally, if Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective is over-sprayed it will not stain bricks, concrete, pavement, wood or asphalt like other traditional non-selective herbicides.

Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective provides immediate weed control with visible signs of damage occurring in less than 20 minutes.

Tools Needed

To apply Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Mix 1 part of Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective with 5 parts water (26 oz. of product with 1 gallon of water) for general applications. For small weeds, apply 1 part of product with 9 parts of water (14 oz. of product in 1 gallon of water). Once mixed, apply this product in 2.5-7.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank and shake until well-mixed.
• Step 3: Spray weeds thoroughly with mixed Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective until wet, but avoid spraying undesired plants. For spot treatment of individual weeds, apply the mixed solution to the center of the plant to the point of runoff. Repeat treatment every 2 to 3 weeks to control new weed growth.

Where to Use

Apply Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective around ornamental flowers; on and around mature shrubs and trees; ornamental lawns and turf; ornamental woody shrubs, vines, and ornamental shade trees; spot treatment in lawns bordering garden areas; in seedbeds or site preparations prior to planting crop; cultivated areas prior to the emergence of susceptible plant parts or as a directed spray avoiding desirable plants; fields after the crop has been harvested; for farmstead maintenance on and around fences, driveways, and other right of-ways surrounding crop areas; on structures holding flowers, trees, shrubs, vines, and vegetables; and grass or non-grass forage/fodder/hay.

When to Use

Use Natural Guard Grass & Weed Killer Non-Selective when weeds are less than 5 inches tall and when rain is not predicted for 24 hours after application. It can be used in cultivated areas prior to planting grass, flowers and vegetables.
