CimeXa Dust
CimeXa Dust
CimeXa Dust, manufactured by Rockwell Labs, is a effective broad-spectrum dust insecticide that contains amorphous silica 92.1% to kill pests like drywood pests and more without any use of additional active ingredients.
When pests such as pyrethroid resistant bed bugs or lice come into contact with the non-repellent insecticide, the product will cling to their exoskeleton and absorb the waxy cuticle, causing death from rapid dehydration.
CimeXa Dust provides a versatile low-toxic insecticide dust application as either a dust or wettable powder to control pests in and around residential, commercial, and other establishments. Once applied, this product can stay viable for up to 10 years when undisturbed.
Tools Needed
CimeXa Dust comes ready to use, though you can choose to use a handheld duster to make it easier to distribute the dust. You could also use it as a liquid application in a sprayer, foamer or paint-on application.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much CimeXa Dust to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). CimeXa should be used at a rate of 2 oz. of product per 100 sq. ft. In attics and crawl spaces, it is suggested to use 1 lb. of product per 1000 sq. ft. When applying as a liquid application, use 1 lb of product in 1 gallon of clean water. 1 quart of finished water slurry can cover 250 sq. ft.
- Step 2: In a handheld duster, place CimeXa Dust in a duster at a rate of 2 oz per 100 square feet. If using as a spray, add a gallon of water to a sprayer and then add up to 1 lb. of product and then agitate the sprayer until the product as a slurry consistency.
- Step 3: Apply the CimeXa Dust to areas such as cracks and crevices, wall voids and along rugs and carpet and any other places pests may harbor.
- Step 4: Reapply as needed until you no longer see any insect activity.
Where to Use
CimeXa Dust is labelled to be used in and around residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, agricultural, research, daycare, health care, educational, recreational, and office buildings, hotels, motels, garages, transport vehicles, warehouses, theaters, and other manmade structures, and food handling and food prcessing establishments.
Generally, you can apply where insects have been spotted such as behind fixtures and areas with voids like closets, attics, garbage chutes and pipes. For Bed bugs, you would focus treatment under the mattress, around bed frames and along baseboards and carpeting.
When to Use
Use CimeXa dust if you are looking for an effective long-term solution to an indoor pest problem or as part of a bed bug treatment program.
Safety Information
CimeXa Dust is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep children and pets out of treated areas.
Special Considerations
Apply CimeXa with a handheld duster to make it easier to distribute. CimeXa is limited to crack and crevice applications, so if any product remains on the outside after application it must be cleaned up and removed.

Q:Does this work on roaches?10/23/23A:I only used it for bed bugs, but I assume it work on roaches equally as well, as it uses quick dehydration (not poison that the insect can become immune to)

Q:Where can I buy cimexa instead of ordering it ?5/24/20A:I was only able to find it online. I was dismayed that the chain hardware stores don't carry it, none of the other products are as fast and effective. I'm not being paid to say that, after using store products for a month, and still having a mating pair of bugs still in my apt (cuz cimexa kills quicker than the store products, they don't get a chance to mate), I was thrilled to get my bug problem ended.

Q:So my bed has a plastic covering for it and I still have bed bugs what do I do?9/18/18A:Is it an official bed bug encasement such as this: https://www.solutionsstores.com/clean-brands-pro-mattress-bed-bug-cover Bed bug infestations are a tough nut to crack and require more than one product/control method to be successful in eliminating them. We recommend a combination of dusts, insecticide concentrate and aerosol sprays on top of a thorough sanitation of your home and furniture. Look into our bed bug control kit and guide which contains all you need for total bed bug control: https://www.solutionsstores.com/bed-bug-control

Q:How soon can carpet be vacuumed after use of the product?3/28/18A:Within a few days of the application you will see a significant reduction in attacks. If you ever go thru a period where the attacks do not keep reducing you need to reapply and possibly look for other areas inside of the sofa or chair that was not treated. When all of the proper areas have been treated you will notice a decrease in attacks. Once you actually hit the affected areas the bugs will essentially stop. It is important to find all of the affected areas and or to treat the areas that surround the affected area (to place a guard between them and you) or to actually treat the affected area directly. The stuff works good. Sometimes it takes a little luck to find the key areas to treat. The important thing to remember is if over say 5 days the attacks have not reduced further you need to take action and do something different. If you look on the internet you will see the different areas that they can be located. Once the attacks have stopped completely for at least three to four months it may be safe to vacuum. If you then leave a perimeter treatment around the baseboards you will prevent bugs from entering the rug. Important do not bomb the room because it will move the bugs into other rooms. In the future if you see any more attacks you need to reapply the powder.
