Atrazine 4L herbicide is used for season long weed control in turf grasses. Atrazine 4L will control most annual broadleaf and grass weeds in corn, sorghum, sugarcane, and certain other crops as specified on the label. This product is restricted use and can only be purchased by a licensed applicator.

Target Pests

Atrazine 4L will control Bluegrass (Poa Annua) Chickweed (Common and Mouseear) Crabgrass Cransbill Cudweed Dichondra Florida Betony Henbit Knotweed Lespedeza Moneywort Mustards Narrowleaf Vetch Parsley-Piert Smutgrass Spurge Spurweed Swinecrest Woodsorrel and various annual clovers.

Applications of Atrazine 4L should be made only with with conventional compressed air garden sprayer equipped with a flat fan spray tip.

Correct calibration of sprayer is essential. Overdosing will cause severe plant injury and or death of the desired turf. Insufficient application may not give anticipated weed control. Hose-end type sprayers are not recommended because of difficulty with precise calibration and application. Atrazine 4L is both a pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide

BERMUDAGRASS, CENTIPEDEGRASS, ST. AUGUSTINEGRASS, AND ZOYSIA GRASS To control annual bluegrass, burclover, carpet burweed, chickweed, corn speedwell, henbit, hop clover, and spurweed, make application after October 1, prior to emergence of winter annual weeds. Annual bluegrass will be controlled even if it is emerged at time of treatment. To control summer annual weeds such as barnyardgrass, witchgrass (Panicum capillare), yellow foxtail, green foxtail, wild oats, large (hairy) crabgrass, velvetleaf, morningglory, lambsquarters, ragweed, nightshade, purslane and mustard, apply Atrazine 4L in late winter before the weeds emerge. Apply in a minimum of 15.0 gallons of water per acre or 1.0 gallon per 1000 square feet.

Atrazione 4L Herbicide will control most annual broadleaf and grass weeds in Corn, sorghum, sugarcane and certain other crops as specified on the label. It can also eliminate weeds found on residential and commercial lawns. This product may be applied before or after weeds emerge.


In each case where a range of rates is given, the lower rate should be used on coarse textured soil and soil low in organic matter and the higher rate should be used on fine textured soil and soil high in organic matter.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Lw. Our Atrazine is a 4# material which means it has 4lbs of active ingredient per gallon. That equates to a 40.8% active ingredient in this particular product. It is restricted use and requires a license to purchase. Please give us a call if you need a non-restricted use herbicide recommendation.

BEST ANSWER: Apply Atrazine when the ground is dry and the temps are not exceeding 85 degrees F nor below 55 degree. More specifics depend on what weed you are trying to target. Refer to the label for more info.

BEST ANSWER: It would not kill Bermuda but it would cause injury if applied to Bermuda during the growing season. It would also affect newly seeded Bermudagrass. The best option in killing Bermuda is to spot treat it with Glyphosate making small application at a time allowing the Centipede to grow over the bald spot.
