Aquapro Pond Dye
Aquapro Pond Dye is a non-toxic acid blue 9 and yellow 23 dye. It is used to help minimize algae and submerged plant growth in ponds, lakes, water fountains, or other bodies of water by blocking UV rays while creating a beautiful and natural look.
Aquapro Pond Dye, manufactured by Solutions Pest & Lawn is a non-toxic pond dye treatment.
The product is a blend of blue and yellow dyes that work together to screen or shade portions of the sunlight spectrum (red-orange and blue-violet) known to promote underwater weed and algae growth.
Pour Aquapro directly into the water at several locations and let the product do the rest. Your pond or water body will eventually look clean, clear, and beautiful.
Tools Needed
When applying this product to your water body, you only need a pair of safety gloves. Although it can be poured directly from the container, using a pouring device, such as a bucket or even a sprayer, is recommended.
How to Use

- Step 1: Measure the size and depth of the body of water to determine how much Aquapro you need. To determine acre-feet volume, measure the length, width, and depth of the waterbody, and then divide by 43,560 (length x width x depth / 43,560 = acre-feet). Aquapro can be applied at various rates: 0.5ppm, 0.8ppm, 1.5ppm 2.0ppm.
- Step 2: Pour the product over the edge directly into the body of water. The water's natural movement will disperse the dye in several hours.
- Step 3: Additional applications will be needed at 1 to 4-week intervals as sunlight breaks down dyes.
Where to Use
Aquapro Pond Dye can be used in lakes, ponds, water fountains, and lagoons.
When to Use
