Q:any harmful affects to live oak trees? i have some oaks with hollow sections that are rampant with carpenter ants.6/26/23A:Carpenter Ants can damage the trees by creating tunnels in the healthy wood for a nest, often burrowing all the way into the heartwood. Advance Carpenter Ant Bait has been very effecative for me, as it does attract these ants. They carry it into their nest to feed to the queens. I have very successfully used it even in our house when the ants invaded a wall in one room. I recommend this product.

Q:How do I know if the Advance Granular Carpenter Ant bait is working?9/14/20A:Seeing the dead ants means that the Advance Granular Carpenter Ant Bait is working. Ants however change their nutritional needs frequently This means that one day they may only forage for proteins, like the Advance Carpenter Ant Bait you put out and another day they may forage for carbohydrates like bait gels or liquids. We recommend leaving the granules in place and allow the ants to continue their natural foraging.

Q:Should I worry about pets being harmed by Advance Granular Carpenter Ant Bait when placed outdoors?9/14/20A:When applied correctly, Advance Granular Carpenter Ant Bait will not harm children or pets. Pets can be attracted to the granules but if they are applied correctly the pets should not be able to eat enough of them for it to be harmful. You should ideally broadcast this product outside, meaning you will be placing very small amounts in grass, mulch, etc. A pet would have to consume a large quantity of this product for it to effect them.
