Dylox 6.2 is a granular insecticide. It works by both contact and ingestion. It rescues and protects lawns and turn from grubs and other insects that feed on them. This product can even penetrate thatch up to 1/2 inch thick. It provides rapid curative grub control in as little as 24 hours and has a longer effective application window than most competitors.

For Use In

Dylox 6.2 is for use in and around landscape flowers shrubs trees landscape and recreational turf golf courses and residential turf.


Apply when pests are seen or found. Turf should be free of troublesome thatch. Water the turf and cut to proper height. Apply granules using a broadcast or drop type spreader. Must water-in on the same day of application. Do not make more than 3 applications per calender year.

This product can be any used in any type of turfgrasses, the only restrictions this product has is on turfgrasses being grown for sale or other commercial use as sod, or for commercial seed production, or for research purposes. Before using and handling this product make sure to read all labeled instructions, precautions, and warnings and make sure to wear the right personal protective equipment (you can buy protective equipment here) recommended on the label.


Before using this product it is a good idea to get rid of excess thatch (to learn everything about dethatching your lawn click here) that forms in your lawn, as this is the best way to prevent a grub infestation from forming.


To use this product you will need a broadcast or drop type spreader (hand spreader or chest-mounted spreaders are not recommended). You can buy broadcast residential spreaders here.


Depending on the broadcast spreader or drop type spreader you will use, you can find on the label, an application rate for the ideal settings needed for correct application in the most popular broadcast and drop type spreaders.


Also, before applying the product make sure to water the turf and cut to proper height before application.


To treat sod webworms, cranberry girdler, cutworm, and armyworm use a broadcast or drop type spreader. You should use 2 pounds of products per 1,000 square feet. An application rate table with the recommended settings you should use on your spreader can be found on the label.


IMPORTANT: In order to release the active ingredient in the product you must water the turf and the product the same day as the application, in other words always water your lawn after application. Make sure there is enough water to let the product penetrate into the excess thatch thoroughly. If sufficient rainfall occurs after application no additional watering is needed.


To treat for root feeding insects such as white grub larvae, chinch bugs, and billbugs you should use the product at a rate of 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet. An application rate table with the recommended settings you should use on your spreader can be found on the label.


Remember to always water the lawn after application, as this ensures that the product will penetrate deep into the soil and kill your grub infestation.


You can apply if you begin to see grubs again but should limit applications to 3 times a year when treating in turf, with a minimum of 7 days interval between applications.
