*This product is a Restricted Use Product (RUP) and requires a Certified Applicator's License to purchase.

Ditrac Tracking Powder, manufactured by Bell Laboratories Inc., is a highly effective restricted-use tracking rodenticide powder used by professional applicators to kill mice and rats for up to 20 days.

This powerful tracking powder is formulated with the active ingredient diphacinone 0.2%, which quickly creates internal bleeding within rats or mice once ingested. One groom is enough to kill and quickly reduce rat and mouse populations even when tolerance to baits and other anticoagulants develops.

Ditrac Tracking Powder provides enough rodent control power at rates as low as a teaspoon. Its special ability to be insoluble in water prolongs the powder's effects, making it ideal for humid and tough-to-control areas.

Tools Needed

You will need a handheld bulb or similar duster to reach within walls and a spoon to make the powder trails needed.

Do not use power dusting devices.

How to Use

ZP Tracking Powder

  • Step 1: Determine dry areas where rats and mice will most likely pick up the Ditrac Tracking Powder on their feet or fur and ingest it during grooming. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings and burrows, in corners and concealed places, in spaces between floors and walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs have been observed. Remove goods piled directly on the floor and place them on the skids. Use boxes or other obstacles to force rodents to travel through constricted areas. Give special attention to the climbing ability of roof rats. For this species, use suitable PVC, sheet metal, cardboard, or similar rigid tubing securely attached to rafters or other horizontal surfaces where rats will pass. Employ tubes long enough to prevent spillage of powder through the ends.
  • Step 2: Use a hand bulb duster or similar device to apply the powder to rodent burrows, holes, or walls. Evenly sprinkle 1/2 oz (3 level teaspoons) of Ditrac Tracking Powder in patches 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. Sprinkle the powder in patches so as to expose the rodent to it. Patch size may be (but not limited to) 6" by 12" and should be adapted to each situation.
  • Step 3: For rat burrows located along the periphery of buildings and likely to serve as routes of entry into these structures, place about 5 grams of Ditrac Tracking Powder in each burrow with a foot pump duster (about 15 pumps). Close burrows with soil, loose leaves, or paper. Repeat if burrows are reopened. Maintain powder in treated areas for at least 20 days.
  • Step 4: Replace contaminated Ditrac Tracking Powder immediately. Wear waterproof gloves, and collect and properly dispose of all visible dead animals, leftover powder, and any powder that has become accessible to non-target animals. To discourage reinfestation, limit rodent food, water, and harborage sources as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment.

Where to Use

Ditrac Tracking Powder is only used indoors and in burrows leading indoors.

This product may be used to treat indoor areas of homes, industrial, commercial, agricultural, public, and similar man-made structures, as well as burrows located along the periphery of buildings and likely entry routes into buildings.

Do not place this product near or inside ventilation duct openings.

When to Use

Ditrac Tracking Powder is to be used by Certified Applicators only when rat and mice activity is confirmed. This product is an ideal option when bait blocks and other methods are not effective or when the rat or mouse infestation is severe.

Safety Information

Ditrac Tracking Powder is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying and handling this product.

This product must be placed in locations inaccessible to children, pets, domestic animals, or wildlife.

Special Considerations

Ditrac Tracking Powder can only be purchased and applied by Certified Applicators. It cannot be used by anyone other than officially licensed applicators.

For Ditrac Tracking Powder to work, rats and mice must walk through it, so the placement of the powder will determine its effectiveness.
