Pramitol 25E Weed Killer

Free Shipping on All Orders

Pramitol 23E is an industrial weed killer that acts as a soil sterilant preventing plant growth for up to 1 year from application. It is an excellent product for rock beds, driveways, construction sites, pipe yards and other commercial areas. To be effective Pramitol should be applied with a lot of water to allow it to soak 6" down into the soil.

Target Pests

Pramitol 25E is a ground sterilizer and will control all vegetation. Nothing will grow where it is applied for up to 1 year. Pramitol will kill tree roots and is the best grass and weed killer. It is non selective meaning it will kill all vegetation.

For Use In

Pramitol 25E is for use in commercial areas like storage facilities fence lines tank farms railways pipelines and lumber yards. A common use of Pramitol is to control weeds and other vegetation under driveways and parking lots. Pramitol is not recommended for use in residential areas.

Application

Although Pramitol 25E has considerable activity through foliar contact, much of its activity is through roots; therefore, its effectiveness is dependent on rainfall to move it into the root zone. Very dry soil conditions and lack of sufficient rainfall may result in poor weed control.

For best results, apply Pramitol 25E before weeds emerge or when weeds are young and actively growing. For control of annual and susceptible perennial weeds and grasses such as downy bromegrass, oatgrass, goosegrass, quackgrass, puncturevine, goldenrod, and plantain: Broadcast 4.0 - 6.125 gals. Pramitol 25E in 50 - 100 gals. of water per acre. For control of hard-to-kill perennial weeds and grasses such as johnsongrass, bindweed, and wild carrot: Broadcast 7.5 - 10 gals. of Pramitol 25E in 50 - 100 gals. of water per acre.

For faster top-kill of existing vegetation, apply Pramitol 25E in diesel oil, fuel oil, or weed oil. Use oils at rates of 100 - 200 gals. per acre. Tall, dense vegetation such as johnsongrass will generally require 150 or more gals. of oil per acre for thorough coverage.

When applying Pramitol 25E to a small area with backpack or pumpup sprayers with capacities of 1 - 3 gals., calibrate the sprayer so that 1 gal. of water covers 500 sq. ft. Then mix 1/2 - 7/8 pt. Pramitol 25E with water to obtain a total volume of 1 gal. and apply uniformly over a 500-sq.-ft. area. For hard-to-kill perennial weeds and grasses, use the higher rate. If green foliage is present, part or all of the water can be substituted with oil to provide burndown. To get the proper Pramitol application rate for your lawn, please refer to the product label.

Under Asphalt: Pramitol 25E may be applied to the ground before laying rapid-, medium-, or slow-curing asphalt coatings such as those used on parking lots, highway shoulders and median strips, roadways, and other industrial sites. Pramitol 25E should be applied just before laying of the asphalt coating to prevent possible lateral movement of the herbicide by rainfall or other mechanical means. Sprayers should be equipped to provide continuous agitation of the spray mixture during application to ensure application of a uniform spray emulsion. Apply Pramitol 25E uniformly at the rate of 7.8 gals. per acre (23.0 fl. oz. per 1000 sq. ft.) in a minimum of 100 gals. of water. Use the lower Pramitol application rate to control annual and susceptible perennial weeds and grasses such as downy bromegrass, oatgrass, goosegrass, quackgrass, puncturevine, goldenrod, and plantain. Use the higher Pramitol application rate to control hard-to-kill perennial weeds and grasses such as johnsongrass, bindweed, and wild carrot.

Coverage Area

One quart of Pramitol will treat up to 2000 square feet

Time to Kill

Pramitol will work within 2 weeks. For faster results mix a glyphosate product or other systemic herbicide for immediate kill of vegetation.

Mix Rate

Pramitol 25E can be applied before or up to 3 months after weed emergence. Application rates vary from 4 - 10 gals. of Pramitol 25E per acre depending on climatic conditions, soil type, the weeds present, and the stage of growth of the weeds. In the following Pramitol application rate recommendations, the higher rates are intended for use on heavier soils where weed growth is heavy and where rainfall is expected to be relatively high. The higher rates should also be used where longer residual control is desired in regions with a long growing season.

Dilute in water or oil and apply as a foliar application, before construction, or in or under asphalt to control johnson grass, bindweed, wild carrot, and other hard to kill weeds and grasses.

Nevada Problems.
The biggest issue is the lack of rain, like never. To get the soil as wet as suggested is very difficult. The soil is so sandy that watering does not sit on the surface long enough to get the Pramitol where it needs to go to be 100% effective

Wait and See
I'm installing an above ground pool. After removing the sod and leveling the ground, I still had some Bermuda grass roots visible. I know how tenacious it is. So I applied Pramitol 25E and watered it in well. After about a week I saw no signs of life so I made another application and water it moderately. (I know it says only one app. per year, but I know how hard Bermuda Grass is to kill and I don't want to replace the pool liner any time soon. Things looked good so I put down landscape material and shoveled in the sand. That was about ten days ago. Yesterday I noticed Bermuda Grass coming up through the sand. A farmer friend said the Pramitol is good stuff and will work. He suggests spraying any Bermuda that shows up with Round up. I did that this morning. So I'll give it some more time and see what happens.
