Delta Dust Insecticide
Delta Dust is a professional waterproof dust that eliminates listed pests, such as cockroaches and bed bugs, in areas where water or moisture is unavoidable, like kitchens or outdoor ornamentals.
09/15/25
Delta Dust Insecticide, manufactured by Bayer, is a waterproof insecticide that quickly controls numerous pests and stores product pests for up to 8 months.
As a long-term residual insecticide, it will kill crawling or stored-product pests that come into contact with the dust. As these pests clean their feet or groom, the product will be ingested, causing them to die.
Delta Dust Insecticide's unique odorless formulation will not clump or absorb moisture, allowing complete insect control in damp environments, which pests like silverfish prefer.
Tools Needed
To apply the dust properly, you will need a hand-held duster, power duster, paintbrush, or other suitable tool.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Delta Dust Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Delta Dust Insecticide should be applied at a rate of 2 to 3 grams per square yard or 0.5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. If you calculated a treatment area of 2,000 sq. ft., you will need 1 lb. of Delta Dust.
- Step 2: Based on your calculations, add the appropriate amount of Delta Dust Insecticide to a hand or power duster.
- Step 3: Apply Delta Dust Insecticide lightly to cracks, crevices, and other areas where insect activity is seen. Apply to ornamental plants weekly until insect activity has stopped.
Where to Use
Delta Dust Insecticide can be applied indoors or outdoors in and around various areas in a residential, commercial, or industrial building.
For indoor use, this product is ideal for treating cracks, crevices, and under areas of appliances, cabinets, wall voids, floors, around plumbing areas, crawl spaces, closets, attics, behind electrical wall sockets, along baseboards, window seals, and doorways.
For outdoor use, DeltaDust can be used in flower beds, structure perimeters, sanitary sewers, telecommunication conduits, junction boxes, fire ant mounds, and more.
When to Use
Delta Dust Insecticide can be used as a preventative measure to prevent infestations and to treat areas where targeted pests have been spotted.
Safety Information
Delta Dust Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
Do not apply on general surface areas such as countertops, where food is handled or serving dishes are kept. Cover all food processing or handling equipment and remove all food products that may be contaminated when applying Delta Dust.
Special Considerations
Bees are a vital part of the environment. Waiting for calm weather before applying Delta Dust Insecticide outdoors will prevent the product from drifting toward crops or weeds while bees are foraging. Do not allow this product to enter storm drains or drainage ditches where innocent wildlife may come in contact with the pesticide.
