Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical is manufactured by MGK. It is a broad labeled product used to control for mosquitoes and other flying insects through automatic mosquito misting systems. Sector uses the active ingredient permethrin for a quick knockdown and it uses piperonyl butoxide (PBO) as a synergist for strong insect control. It creates a long-lasting insecticidal barrier to prevent insects from getting indoors for up to 90 days. It is safe to use on various livestock animals and dogs to control fleas and other disease-carrying insects. Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical is an all-around great product to have when treating residential, commercial, or agricultural areas.
Tools Needed
To apply Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical, an automatic mosquito misting system, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or ULV fogger is needed. Sector is primarily used through automatic mosquito misting systems. It can also be used as a general-purpose spray with pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: For use in a mosquito misting system, determine how much Sector you will need to add. Sector should be added to systems at a rate of 1.16 fl. oz. per gallon of water. The total fluid ounces of concentrate will depend on your tank size. For example, a 55-gallon tank will need 64 oz. of Sector.
- Step 2: Fill your misting system halfway with water and add the correct amount of concentrated Sector to the tank Fill the tank with the rest of the required amount of water.
- Step 3: Adjust the nozzles and timer according to the mosquito misting system. It is recommended to adjust the nozzles to allow up to 1.25 ounces of solution per minute that will cover up to 1,000 square feet.
Where to Use
Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical can be applied indoors or outdoors. For indoor applications, it can be applied with a pump sprayer to mattress tufts and seams, baseboards, and entry points and other label approved areas. For outdoor use, Sector can be applied to lawns, ornamental flower beds, exterior walls, barnyards, and more. It can also be applied directly on dairy cows, beef cattle, swines, horses, poultry livestock, and dogs. It cannot be applied on areas where food is being stored, served or eaten. It cannot be applied to cats and it cannot be applied to dogs 12 weeks old or younger. Sector Mosquito Misting Chemical is mostly applied outdoors to control for mosquitoes.
When to Use
When Sector is applied through an automatic mosquito misting system, it can be applied anytime to prevent mosquitoes from ruining outdoor events. For best results when combating mosquitoes, apply Sector during the first part of spring, summer, and fall. When applied with a pump sprayer, it can be applied as an insect barrier spray before insects reach the inside of the home or building structure. For farmers or ranchers it can be used when treating barnyards or livestock animals.

Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical is safe to use around children, pets, and livestock animals when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying Sector. Sector Mosquito Misting System Chemical cannot be applied to cats.

Mosquitoes and no-see-ums better run

Q:I have a 265 gallon holding tank for my misting system. Will this product stay in solution the entire year?9/14/17A:Sector and other Misting System concentrates are meant to stay suspended in the water mixture. With the pre-agitation with the system you should be fine. Most stay in the system for 3 to 4 months. I would not recommend having a 12 month fill of chemical as this might be causing some of the loss of effectiveness of the active.

Q:How long should we wait after we spray it to be around it like in the backyard eating on our patio?5/3/17A:When the Misting System initiates for mosquito control efforts, you can return immediately after it stops misting. The fine mist is meant to effectively mist in very small particles and falls to the ground kill all small insects, especially mosquitoes as it falls to the ground. Stryker 5-25 chemical which contains Pyrethrin is leaves no chemicals when it has completely dried.
