Fastrac Blox are manufactured by Bell Laboratories and are weather-proof and moisture-proof rodenticide blocks formulated with bromethalin to kill rats and mice. The bait blocks are effective for use indoors and outdoors to control for Norway rats, roof rats and house mice. Fastrac Blox are strong enough to provide a lethal dose in one feeding. Each Fastrac block has multiple edges to entice rodents to chew on the bait.

Fastrac Blox is a great product to have when combating severe infestations, as the active ingredient, bromethalin provides faster results with less bait than anticoagulant baits.

Tools Needed

To safely apply Fastrac Blox around outdoor areas, tamper-proof bait stations are required.

How to Use

Rodent bait station

  • Step 1: Locate areas where rats/mice travel by searching for droppings or chew marks on baseboards and walls and remove all secondary food sources to prevent targeted rodents from refusing Fastrac Blox.
  • Step 2: For rats, place 2 to 12 Fastrac Blox bait blocks per placement at intervals of 15 to 30 feet apart. For Mile and Meadow Voles, use 1 block per placement 8 to 12 feet apart in infested area. For areas with high mouse activity, use 2 blocks per placement.
  • Step 3: Place Fastrac Blox in tamper-proof bait stations. We recommend sitting out empty bait stations for a few days so targeted pests will become familiar with them. Place the filled bait stations along exterior walls or fence lines with the holes closest to the structure.
  • Step 4:  After one or two days, inspect the stations and replenish the bait until rodent activity has stopped. Keep the areas clean, but do not wash the station until the eradication process is complete. Using gloves, collect and properly dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait.

Where to Use

Fastrac Blox can be placed in infested areas outdoors with a bait station or indoors. The bait stations filled with the bait blocks can be placed along walls around the outside perimeter of grocery stores, barnyards, homes, hotels, restaurants, and along fence lines. Fastrac Blox being used indoors can be placed within walls, under sinks, in attics, and other areas where pets or children cannot access the bait.

When to Use

Fastrac Blox are ideal to use when rat or mouse activity is suspected. It is recommended that areas that have continuous situations that attract rodents, such as barnyards, grocery stores or restaurants should also have continuous control and keep bait stations filled with Fastrac Blox.

Safety Information

Fastrac Blox are safe to use around children, pets, and livestock when used according to the product label. Do not place Fastrac Blox where children, pets, livestock, and innocent animals can gain access. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling Fastrac Blox or bait stations.

Special Considerations

Each Fastrac Blox weighs 15 grams and has a pre-drilled hole in the center to place on the rods inside bait stations. Tamper-proof bait stations must be used applying Fastrac Blox anywhere outdoors.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:I saw a mice while in my living room one night, it looked like a big roach. he next few nights, I saw it was a baby mice. Can from the same directions, under my loveseat, under the stand with the television. I went out of town for 20 days. When I returned, I was sitting on my sofa and saw a large rat can from the same direction under the loveseat and jump the stairs and flew upstairs. I moved by my son immediately, leaving everything. I have had all types of traps, glue traps and everything by Tomcat. We notice large droppings. Upstairs and downstairs. Saturday we checked and saw no dropping, but none of the traps were touched. I want to move back home but I am scared. What would you suggest?
    4/4/23
A:Avoid moving any furniture or objects in the surrounding area as rats are cautious creatures and will avoid anything disturbed or new in its environment, including rodenticide products. We recommend using Eratication Rodent Bait (kills mice and rats) along with the other products in our DIY guide. Keep in mind that Eratication Rodent Bait is an FGAR, which allows rats and mice to feed on the bait multiple times. They are used to help prevent rats and mice from becoming shy to the product allowing a majority of the infestation to eat the bait then perish. 4. Q:What if our dog eats it will 8t die?
    10/2/18
A:A pet that eats Fastrac Bait Block should be taken immediately to your local vet. Because of the blood cloting and airway constricting components can be fatal. The pet and a bait block should be taken to the vet immediately. However, if properly used and securely stored this should rarely happen if at all. We have used this product for years with no incidents and have several dogs that are around the bait boxes daily. Hopes this helps!

  6. Q:Should I expect the after smell of dead mice/rats in my home or will they make an attempt to escape my home in hopes for survival?
    1/27/17
A:If you are using this for mice, they will usually be something you will smell, but they are small and it is not as strong as a rat. Rats you have a 50 50 chance either way, because they will forage and move about outside at night and then nest inside. Rat sorb and air sponges will work great. https://www.solutionsstores.com/nature-s-air-sponge-odor-eliminator https://www.solutionsstores.com/rat-sorb-odor-eliminator
