JT Eaton Answer Gopher Bait, manufactured by JT Eaton, is a weatherproof bait block with specially formulated bricks to lure and quickly eliminate all species of invading pocket gophers on a property.
Formulated with the active ingredient diphacinone 0.005%, this effective gopher bait stops the blood from clotting normally, leading to the pest's death within a few days.
JT Eaton Answer Gopher Bait features a unique moisture-resistant design that allows it to be used underground against all species of pocket gophers. Due to its water-resistant material, this bait will remain palatable underground for an extended period.
Tools Needed
This gopher bait comes ready to use, but you may need a spade or a shovel to make holes in the runway and insert the blocks.
How to Use
- Step 1: Conduct a thorough inspection to locate gopher runways and entry points. To find the main runways, probe 12 to 18 inches from the surface mound on the side, which is flattened or depressed, using a burrow probe or a smooth metal rod. When resistance on the probe suddenly decreases, the probe is in the main runway. Once you find active runways, open the runway with a spade or shovel.
- Step 2: Place 1 of the JT Eaton Answer Gopher Bait into each opening of the runway and cover the opening securely to exclude light. Do not permit the loose soil to cover the bait. Place bait at 2 or 3 locations in each main burrow (runway) system.
- Step 3: As some gophers may die above ground, check the area periodically for 10 to 15 days after treatment. Bury or incinerate (if permitted locally) any dead animals found. If pocket gopher activity persists 2 weeks after treatment, bait the active burrow a second time.
Where to Use
JT Eaton Answer Gopher Bait can only be used on manual, subterranean applications around homes.
Do not apply this product above the ground surface.
