Tools Needed

You will need to mix the product into a sprayer of your choosing, such as a backpack, hose-end, or hand-pump sprayer. For the average job, a hand-pump gallon sprayer works best.

How to Use

Spraying lawn with Trimec Southern Broadleaf Heribicde

  • Step 1: Determine how much Trimec Souther Broadleaf Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Use 0.75 oz. of Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of bermudagrass, bentgrass, bluegrass, fescues, and zoysiagrass. Apply 0.37 to 0.55 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of St. Augustinegrass, centipedegrass, and seashore paspalum.
  • Step 2: In a sprayer of your choice, fill the sprayer tank halfway with water and then add the appropriate amount of Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide based on your grass type and area measured. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and agitate the sprayer until the product is well mixed.
  • Step 3: Apply the Trimec Southern Broadleaf Herbicide solution to the target weed, ensuring uniform coverage via the fan spray setting. You can spot-treat or broadcast the product over an area depending on the weed issue and severity of the infestation. Reapply the product after 30 days as needed for total control. Do not irrigate within 24 hours after application.
