Iguana Scram Professional

Iguana Scram Professional, manufactured by Epic Incorporated, has a dual-action granular formulation that repels and controls iguanas from climbing and tearing up desired foliage throughout multiple seasons.

It is formulated with various oils of rosemary 3.000%, cedarwood 3.000%, thyme 1.000%, cinnamon 0.508%, clove 0.508%, and garlic 0.030%, as well as peanut hulls 89.954% and sodium chloride 2.000%. These natural, safe ingredients will repel the iguana through taste and smell from treated areas without emitting strong odors to people.

Tools Needed

Iguana Scram is ready to use. It comes with an included scoop, or you can shake the product materials from the container by hand. Alternatively, you can use a hand or push spreader to spread the granules in the area you wish to treat.

How to Use

• Step 1: Examine the areas where iguanas have been most active or determine the exterior perimeter of landscaped areas you wish to protect. Determine how much Iguana Scram to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet and follow the formula (length X width = square footage). Iguana Scram must be applied as an 18-inch barrier outside the landscaped area. For trees and shrubs, you will sprinkle the product around tree and shrub bases as a 24-inch barrier starting from the drip line.
• Step 2: Using the scoop provided, load the appropriate amount of Iguana Scram into the top of your selected spreader or by hand onto the treatment area. Avoid applying it to desired foliage, as this will not efficiently repel iguanas from shrubs and trees. Treat only the surrounding perimeter.
• Step 3: Reapply as needed or after excessive periods of rainfall. For excessive iguana infestation in the area, apply a second band 15 inches from the first strip around the bed and lightly sprinkle the product throughout the inside. This will stop the problem, and only a single band nearest the bed will be needed for maintenance.

When to Use

Iguana Scram should be applied at the first sign of iguana activity, usually during the warmer months, such as spring and summer. It should also be applied to your property when rainfall and wind are predicted for at least 24 hours after application.
