Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide
Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide
Cy-Kick CS is manufactured by BASF Pest Control and is an insecticide concentrate made with controlled-release capabilities and enhanced with SmartCap technology. It has a broad-label of over 55 pests that it can control and can be applied both indoors and outdoors.
When Cy-Kick CS is sprayed on surfaces, the SmartCap or the microcapsule feature serves as a protective shield around the active ingredient, protecting it from UV rays, weather conditions and oily surface areas so it stays effective for longer.
Cy-Kick's SmartCap technology also protects humans and pets from being exposed to the active ingredient and makes it safer to apply to plants. Cy-Kick sticks to the insects that come in contact with it as they crawl over it, which ensures the insect will ingest it, causing them to die.
Tools Needed
To use Cy-Kick CS, you will need either a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or skid sprayer. We recommend using a hand-held pump sprayer for residential perimeter applications and crack and crevice applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cy-Kick CS you will need by first calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Cy-Kick can be applied at a spray concentration of either 0.05% at 1 fl. oz. in a gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. or 0.10% at 2 fl. oz. in a gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. So for example, if you measured a 3,000 sq. ft. treatment area, you would need to mix either 3 or 6 fl. oz. to 3 gallons of water depending on the concentration you choose.
- Step 2: Shake the bottle of Cy-Kick CS before diluting with water then fill the spray tank halfway with water and then add the correct amount of Cy-Kick CS to the tank. Add the rest of the required amount of water to the tank and mix well. If using a handheld pump sprayer, we recommend actually shaking the spray tank to mix and periodically shake the tank so the product does not settle at the bottom.
- Step 3: Spray the areas that require treatment such as indoor cracks and crevices or outdoor perimeters of a structure. Use a pinstream nozzle setting in short bursts for voids, cracks and crevices (bed frames, around edges of carpeting, furniture, door and window frames etc.) and a fan spray setting for outdoor perimeters. Spray to wet but not to the point of run-off or dripping. Applications can be made again after 3 days, and no more than twice a week, if insect activity is still apparent.
Where to Use
Cy-Kick CS can be used in and around apartments, calf hutches, calving pens and parlors, campgrounds, empty chicken houses, dairy areas, dog kennels, food storage areas, grain mills, granaries, hog barns, homes, hose barns, hospitals, hotels, meat packing plants, food processing plants, milkrooms, motels, nursing homes, rabbit hutches, resorts, restaurants and other food handling establishments, schools, supermarkets, transportation eqipment, utilities, warehouses, commercial and industrial buildings.
Cy-Kick CS can be used indoors as a crack and crevice treatments around floors, window sills, doorways, wall voids around plumbing, under sinks, bed frames, empty dressers, furniture, carpet edges, and other areas where targeted insects hide. It can be used Cy-Kick CS is also ideal for outdoor use as a perimeter treatment, porches, garages, horse barns, empty chicken coops, lawns, landscaping, weep holes on homes or commercial buildings, soffits, wooden fences, holes in trees.
When to Use
Use Cy-Kick when bed bugs, fleas and other hard to eliminate pests are indoors. It is also a great insecticide to use to keep targeted pests from finding their way indoors, as it has a 90-day residual that is just as strong on the last day as it is the first day of application. It can be applied every 3 days but no more twice a week depending on the severity of the infestation. It is also ideal to use when preventing or controlling termites.
Safety Information
Cy-Kick CS is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or apply Cy-Kick CS.
Special Considerations
Cy-Kick CS is safe to apply in many different areas and can be applied at different rates. Always read the product label before making any applications for maximum results and to ensure safety. For maximum control, it is suggested to apply this product at least once every 60 to 90 days.

Q:will cy kick cs help with killing mould mites?12/16/21A:If you are referring to mold mites, then no Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide would not help remove them. Unfortunately, not many product labels are specified for mold mites. To remove mold mites, we recommend using Sterifab Disinfectant Sanitizer, which functions as an insecticide and disinfectant that can remove mites and mold. https://www.solutionsstores.com/sterifab

Q:Do you mix Cy-kick with another chemical to kill fleas indoors?11/10/21A:Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide does not need to be mixed with another chemical to eliminate fleas indoors. However, we do recommend using Novacide Flea & Tick Killer after your Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide solution has dried on treated cracks, crevices, voids, around window and door frames, under siding, and other infested areas. The Novacide Flea & Tick Killer has an built-in insect growth regulator (IGR) that breaks the life cycle of fleas to prevent them from maturing to breed thus controlling future populations. Cy-Kick CS Cyfluthrin Insecticide will kill fleas on contact but does not provide residual control.
