Postiva Fungicide
Postiva Fungicide is a unique preventative fungicide that effectively controls a broad spectrum of diseases across numerous ornamental and crop plants grown for commercial and residential use.
09/08/25
Postiva Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a professional systemic fungicide specially developed to protect residential and commercial ornamentals and vegetables against a broad spectrum of fungal pathogens.
Its advanced formula includes two active ingredients: pydiflumetofen and difenoconazole, both belonging to different fungicidal classes. Pydiflumetofen disrupts fungal respiration, effectively halting disease development whereas difenoconazole targets and eliminates fungal cells at multiple growth stages.
Postiva Fungicide is an outstanding preventative fungicide that provides strong and reliable control of difficult diseases in vegetables, fruit plants, and ornamentals within 24 hours of application. Its systemic formula allows for total control throughout the plant and ensures no product is wasted since it cannot be washed off by rain.
Tools Needed
It may be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, spray rig, helicopter, or chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Postiva Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage by measuring the treatment area's square footage. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat foliar, soil, and stem diseases on ornamentals, use 10.0 to 28.0 fl. oz. of Postiva Fungicide per 100 gallons of water. For cucurbit vegetables (crop group 9), apply 1.0-1.6 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 9.0-14.0 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill your tank sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then fill in with the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and agitate until the solution is mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For soil disease control, spray around the root zone of the plant. Avoid spray overlap, as crop injury may occur.
Where to Use
Postiva Fungicide can be used for ornamental plants; ornamental bulb, corm and tuber crops; conifers; Christmas trees; non-bearing fruit and nut trees; and listed vegetable plants grown for retail sales to consumers.
For application to field- and container grown plants produced in greenhouses and nurseries (including shade houses, lath houses and other outdoor growing structures), evergreen (including conifer) and deciduous tree nurseries, Christmas tree farms, residential and commercial landscapes, parks and interior plantscapes.
Vegetable plants treated with Postiva are for retail sale to consumers. Apply Postiva to vegetable plants grown in seedling trays and containers. Do not use vegetable plants treated with Postiva for commercial vegetable production or sell those plants for use by commercial vegetable producers.
When to Use
Apply before diseases are present on days when rainfall is not expected to occur within the next 48 hours of application.
Do not apply to fruit or nut trees that will bear harvestable fruit within 12 months.
