Kill Unwanted Weeds With RoundUp QuikPro

Weeds are every homeowners worst nightmare when it comes to having a well maintained lawn. It can seem like no matter what you do: pulling them, mowing them, weed whacking them or digging them out, those persistent irritants just keep coming back! You then go to your garden center to get some run-of-the-mill weed spray hoping that does the trick but it doesn’t work either. So what gives?

To kill weeds and ensure they do not return requires starting with the basic fundamentals of lawn maintenance. You may think that you’ve been doing an adequate job, but proper care of your turf and soil requires much more than just watering and mowing regularly. Proper lawn care is essential to prevent weeds from sprouting in your turf.

RoundUp QuikPro Herbicide provides excellent weed control and are guaranteed to target any of those irritating plants to make sure they stay dead and don’t return.  RoundUp Quik have been tested by our experts and are proven to get the job done quickly.

What Is The Best Way To Remove Weeds?

The most effective way to eliminate weeds off of your lawn is via chemical treatment. By using a weed killer for grass, brush and shrubs you will avoid any major physical effort like digging up weeds, pulling and trimming. If you are looking at targeting broad-leaved weeds, a great herbicide is one containing glyphosate. And one of the most highly recommended herbicides on the market today containing glyphosate that is tremendously effective in killing weeds is RoundUp Quikpro from Monsanto.

What is Roundup QuikPro and How Does it Work?

As mentioned previously,Roundup Quikpro contains the active ingredient of glyphosate, a systemic chemical which travels throughout the weed from leaves to roots once the plant absorbs it. Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide, meaning that it kills any plant it falls upon, so it is important to avoid overspraying and being careful with application, especially when the weeds are among desirable plants. Glyphosate works by disrupting the production of an essential enzyme necessary for the plant to produce certain amino acids. Once a part of the environment, glyphosate binds very tightly to soil where bacteria resides and begins to eat away at it within a span of  about six months. Herbicides containing glyphosate are generally used to control weeds and grasses but in higher concentrations will control brush and volunteer sprouts from stumps.

It is important to note that just buying this high-quality product and spraying it around may not necessarily eliminate the weeds that are giving you problems. There is a method of approach to go about attacking weeds and timing is also an important factor to consider prior to weed control application.

Precautions to Take when Using RoundUp QuikPro

As with any form of weed killing pesticide, read and follow the label instructions carefully when using RoundUp QuikPro in higher concentrations. Remember that Roundup is a non-selective herbicide and will kill or injure any plant it falls on. We recommend to not spray on windy days as it can result in herbicide damage to plants you don’t wish to target. Overspraying can also result in death to nearby plants. Also always mix and spray Roundup with an aluminum, plastic or stainless steel sprayer -- it can be corrosive to sprayers of other materials.

BEST ANSWER: Quickpro is a dry formulation that is mixed with water and contains Diquat, which will cause the plants to show signs of burning earlier than other herbicides. Glyphosate 73.3%, Diquat 2.9%. Roundup Pro, is Glyphosate 50.2% and is a liquid concentrate, still mixed with water.
What about pets, are there any ill effects, if so how long before the area can be used for dogs?

I much prefer the powder packets to the pre-mixed liquid.
It's easier to order, to store and to use. The price was the best and free shipping clinched the deal. The product arrived quickly. I also liked the follow-up offer to provide advice and help. I'm just a home owner not a business. It's nice to get company prices on small quantities. I may not order much but in future I will check this company first.
