Suspend SC Insecticide
Suspend SC is a suspended concentrate insecticide that can kill various pests in and around households and other structures, turfs, and landscape ornamentals. This product has a long residual of up to 3 months. It has no odor and is great for home perimeter treatments.
10/02/25
Suspend SC Insecticide, manufactured by Bayer, kills problem pests quickly and provides an excellent residual up to three months after the initial application.
This effectively suspended concentrate is formulated with finely ground particles of the active ingredient suspended in water. Suspend SC has no additional solvents, but it does contain surfactants to help suspend the solid particles and biocides to prevent microbial growth and extend its shelf life.
Suspend SC Insecticide contains deltamethrin as an active ingredient in the form of pure micro-crystals. The micro-crystals allow Suspend SC to carry a long-term residual, and rather than being absorbed into porous surfaces, the formula stays on the surface. Because of this, insects continue to contact it long after the insecticide has been applied.
Tools Needed
Suspend SC Insecticide must be mixed in water and sprayed with either a hand pump or power pressurized sprayer, hose-end sprayer, spray rig, or foam sprayer. An approved foaming agent must be added to the solution to make it foam.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Suspend SC you will need by first measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Suspend SC can be used at a 0.01% (0.25 fl. oz.), 0.03% (0.75 fl. oz.), or 0.06% (1.50 fl. oz.) dilution ratio per gallon of water to cover 1,000 sq. ft. Use the higher rate for severe infestations. For example, if you wish to use the 0.06% rate and measure 2,500 sq. ft. of area, you will need to mix 3.75 fl. oz. of Suspend SC Insecticide in 2.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Fill approximately half the spray container with water, then apply the appropriate amount of Suspend SC based on your container size and calculations. Shake your container well, then open it once more to fill the rest of the container with water. Close your container tightly and give it one last shake to ensure even distribution.
- Step 3: Apply a perimeter barrier application of Suspend SC outdoors on all door frames, window frames, and areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter the structure. Spray a band of soil 6 to 10 feet adjacent to the structure and up the foundation at a 2 to 3 feet height where pests may be active or find an entrance. Indoors, you can use it as a crack and crevice spot treatment for pests that may be hiding. When spraying landscape ornamentals, coat the upper and lower leaf surfaces to ensure adequate coverage. Use a fan nozzle spray setting to get uniform coverage for broadcast, surface, or barrier spraying. Use a cone setting or pin-stream nozzle for precision application for spot, crack, and crevice spraying.
Where to Use
Suspend SC Insecticide can be used in and around residential and non-residential buildings, including commercial kitchens and all food or feed-handling establishments. Outdoors, treat the soil, turf, and substrate next to buildings.
Treating your home's foundation, walls, doors, windows, and soffit areas is also helpful because many insects hide there. Indoors, apply this product as a crack and crevice or spot treatment. Permitted use areas include, but are not limited to, apartments, food processing plants, hotels, residential homes, kitchens, schools, ships, trucks, and warehouses.
When to Use
Suspend SC is best used during peak pest activity from Spring to Fall. Outdoors, apply on calm days to avoid wind drift.
Do not water or mow your lawn for 24 hours after application. Indoors, conduct your application when the space is unoccupied and remain undisturbed until the product dries. When applying in food prep areas, remove or cover all food and utensils before application. Treatments may be applied at 21-day intervals or as necessary to maintain adequate control.
Safety Information
Suspend SC Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter treatment areas until the product has completely dried.
Special Considerations
Agitate Suspend SC Insecticide, so it doesn’t settle for the best spraying results.
To help avoid overapplication in spot and broadcast treatments outdoors, we recommend you use a marking dye like Vision Pro Max. These products are temporary colorants used to indicate where you've already sprayed. When mixed into your spray solution, your application will leave turf a deep blue color, reminding you where you have sprayed so you know not to apply there again.
