Wild Hog Scram, manufactured by Enviro Protection Industries, is a granular repellent and an all natural way to repel wild hogs from your property.

This efficient repellent works by altering the environment in 2 ways: surrounding soil becomes bad-smelling to the animals & food tastes bad and their digestive system is disrupted.

Wild Hog Scram is an all season use product so can be used year round for continued protection against hogs and their activities.

Tools Needed

To use Wild Hog Scram you will need wear gloves for protection. You can either spread Wild Hog granules by hand or use a hand or rotary spreader to spread the granules in the target area.

How to Use

Step 1: Identify and inspect areas where wild hogs have been active then figure out how much product you need by measuring the square footage (length x width) of the area you wish to protect. Wild Hog Scram is typically applied at a rate of 1 pound per 600 square feet. Based on your measurements, measure out the amount of product needed. For example, if you measured 2,000 square feet of treated area, you will need 3.3 pounds of Wild Hog Scram.

Step 2: Add the appropriate amount of Wild Hog Scram product to a rotary spreader using the lowest setting. Apply at a rate of 1 pound per 600 square feet, covering the area where wild hog activity has been observed. Continue application beyond the affected area for optimal coverage. If the damage is in garden/flower beds, hand sprinkle granules.

Step 3: After the initial application, apply a 2nd application 14 days later.  Retreat every 30 days as needed for continuous protection.

Where to Use

Use Wild Hog Scram outside in the yard where wild hog activity has been observed and where hog burrows are observed.

When To Use

Use Wild Hog Scram if you have seen or suspect wild hogs trespassing onto your property.

Safety Information

When applying Wild Hog Scram, always wear gloves to protect skin. Store away from food and water storage and out of reach of children and pets.  Keep children and pets off treated area until the ground has thoroughly dried, 2-4 hours depending on moisture levels.

Special Considerations

Heavy or extended periods of rain will lessen the effective time of the product which will require an additional application.

  1. Q:Will this product be safe to use around deer? I have hunting land and don’t want to steer away or harm deer meat . I saw it was not safe to use around other animals ! Would deer fall into the category of (other animals?)
    6/10/20
A:We also have deer, but it seems the deer just avoided it. I would not spread Hog Scram in an area where you are feeding other animals and/or wildlife. It's not poisinous, but repels most animals and critters.

  5. Q:Will hurt domestic pets?
    9/30/18
A:I have no domestic pets and I did not look into that. It's just fish oil and some select spices on coconut based pellets to address the senses of hogs that damages shrubs and stuff.

  7. Q:How long does an application of the Wild Hog Scram last? Does it have to be reapplied when it rains? I irrigate the area of grass where the hogs are digging up the grass. How does water affect the potency of this product?
    3/30/18
A:Apply using a rotary spreader. Apply at a rate of 1 pound per 600 square feet. Water full application for 5 minutes. Reapply in 14 days after initial application and then every 30 days or as needed. Heavy rain fall will shorten the effective period.
