Wild Hog Scram Professional
Wild Hog Scram Professional
Wild Hog Scram, manufactured by Enviro Protection Industries, is a granular repellent and an all natural way to repel wild hogs from your property.
This efficient repellent works by altering the environment in 2 ways: surrounding soil becomes bad-smelling to the animals & food tastes bad and their digestive system is disrupted.
Wild Hog Scram is an all season use product so can be used year round for continued protection against hogs and their activities.
Tools Needed
To use Wild Hog Scram you will need wear gloves for protection. You can either spread Wild Hog granules by hand or use a hand or rotary spreader to spread the granules in the target area.
How to Use
Step 1: Identify and inspect areas where wild hogs have been active then figure out how much product you need by measuring the square footage (length x width) of the area you wish to protect. Wild Hog Scram is typically applied at a rate of 1 pound per 600 square feet. Based on your measurements, measure out the amount of product needed. For example, if you measured 2,000 square feet of treated area, you will need 3.3 pounds of Wild Hog Scram.
Step 2: Add the appropriate amount of Wild Hog Scram product to a rotary spreader using the lowest setting. Apply at a rate of 1 pound per 600 square feet, covering the area where wild hog activity has been observed. Continue application beyond the affected area for optimal coverage. If the damage is in garden/flower beds, hand sprinkle granules.
Step 3: After the initial application, apply a 2nd application 14 days later. Retreat every 30 days as needed for continuous protection.
Where to Use
Use Wild Hog Scram outside in the yard where wild hog activity has been observed and where hog burrows are observed.
When To Use
Use Wild Hog Scram if you have seen or suspect wild hogs trespassing onto your property.
Safety Information
When applying Wild Hog Scram, always wear gloves to protect skin. Store away from food and water storage and out of reach of children and pets. Keep children and pets off treated area until the ground has thoroughly dried, 2-4 hours depending on moisture levels.

Q:Will it have an affect on wild turkeys ?5/2/21A:Wild Hog Scram is not poisonous, but wild turkeys and other wildlife will not approach where you have spread it. it is great for keeping wild hogs away but avoid areas where you want to keep other animals and birds around your home or property. We use it around our home and no longer have wild hogs. We also have deer and wild turkeys, so we are careful to spread the Wild Hog Scram only where the hogs have dug and burrowed. When opening and spreading Wild Hog Scram, be sure to use a mask – it has a powerful smell that can be a bit overwhelming

Q:Can you use it near gardens?4/24/21A:I have spread near my garden and my fruit trees, successfully repelling the feral and wild hogs traveling through my area, My neighbor has caged 5 hogs in the past 3 months. No hog damage to my gardens, trees or lawn.

Q:After it is applied, is the smell offensive to humans?2/18/21A:Recommendation: even if you use a spreader apply sparingly, and use a mask and gloves when you apply. You can check the ingredients on the can. It has a strong aroma, so do not inhale. We are in an open area on a hill, so the smell was not offensive to us I recommend small amounts on the areas where the hogs have been. The first time we applied , we applied it too thick. Better to use too little than too much. We applied Hog Scram too heavy the first time; later we just sprinkled a little in the same area and have not seen a trace of hogs since. We found that Hog Scram also repels snakes and armadillos. It is not poisonous. We are so glad we found it! No more hog problems!

Q:Will dogs avoid this? Is there a risk for dogs?2/1/21A:Deer avoid coming near Hog Scram, so we applied the Scram only in the area where we had hogs.

Q:Will this repel any other animals besides Wild Hogs? For example, deer?12/11/20A:Wild Hog Scram is great! While it keeps wild hogs away, it also keeps snakes, armadillos, and other critters away. It does not harm them, they simply stay away from the odor. We have used it know for several months. Thank goodness no more hogs, armadillos, snakes in our country yard. I highly recommend it. Just be sure to use gloves when using and wash your hands carefully afterwards.

Q:Does ground need to be dry to apply hog scram?10/28/20A:I have never applied Hog Sram on wet / damp ground. I’d rather apply it on a dry surface so that it doesn’t stick to the grass and it will get down on the soil where it will stay to be effective.
