Target Pests

Round Up Pro can be used to control broadleaf and grassy weeds including dandelions dallisgrass johnsongrass thistle spurge fescue quackgrass and bahiagrass as well as some brush and woody plants.

For Use In

Round Up Pro is used in many situations from agricultural farming to industrial vegetation management. It can also be used around residential homes and commercial businesses to control unwanted weeds. Roundup Pro is also used by many highway right of way (ROW) management companies cities counties and municipal governments.

Apply to foliage of vegetation to be controlled. Applications should be made using the spray to wet method ensuring a uniform and broad application. Do not spray to the point of runoff since the roundup must contact the leaf to be effective. Use a coarse spray to prevent drift of the product.

For control of listed weeds that are 6" or less in height use a .4% solution of roundup pro (0.5 oz per gallon).

For weeds that are over 6" tall use a .8% solution of roundup pro (1oz per gallon).

To control difficult perennial weeds like thistle and bermudagrass use a 1.6% solution of roundup (2oz per gallon).

To control brush and woody plants with Roundup Pro use a 8% solution which is 10.5 ounces per gallon.

Whenever applying roundup pro make sure spray coverage is uniform and covers at least 50% of the target plant's foliage. If possible it is best to coat the top half of the plant's foliage to get best results.

Make sure to apply when the plants are actively growing. Efficacy will be reduced if the plants were just cut or mowed as surface area is reduced and the ability of the plant to take the chemical up into the vascular system is reduced.

Coverage Area

Each 2.5 gallon of Round Up Pro will treat up to 10 acres at the lowest mix rate.

Time to Kill

RoundUp Pro will take 2-3 days for results to be seen. It is best to spray when the plants are actively growing to ensure uptake of the chemical into the plant's vascular system.

Mix Rate

The Round Up Pro mix rate is 1-10.5 ounces per gallon of water depending on target weed. When mixing roundup pro make sure to use only clean stainless steel or plastic sprayers

Roundup Pro  works quickly as a non selective, post-emergent weed killer on a variety of common lawn weeds and grasses. With this higher concentrated version of Roundup, you use less per gallon of water. Roundup Pro Weed Killer combines the higher concentrate of glyphosate, with "Proformance" technology for optimum weed and brush control that is rainfast in just an hour.

Roundup Pro Weed Killer is a broad spectrum herbicide that can successfully eliminate many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody bush and trees. It is a post-emergent herbicide that acts as a systemic with no residual soil activity. As a systemic, Roundup Pro Weed Kiler travels from the foliage to the root system of the plant. Weeds must be above ground at the time of application in order for Roundup Pro to be effective.

Roundup Pro is nontoxic to fish, birds and mammals when used according to directions. Because of its strong bond to the soil, there is less likelihood of Roundup Pro traveling to groundwater.

How Roundup Pro Weed Killer Works

Roundup contains the active ingredient Glyphosate which functions by inhibiting an enyzme only found in plants that is essential to specific amino acids for plant growth.

Visible effects of the product start with a gradual wilting and yellowing of the plant to a complete browning of above-ground growth, with wearing away of underground plant parts. You can start to see visible results on most annual weeds within 2-4 days; perennial weeds may take 7 days or more for visible results. Cool or cloudy weather after application may slow down activity with a delay of visible symptoms.

Will it kill goat weed and how do we mix per gallon of water?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It does have Goat Grass as a controlled weed on the label, Glyphosate will kill most all of weeds that it comes in contact with the foliage of the plant, some may take more than 1 application. Please refer to the label for the application rate it will range from 1 ounce to 13 ounces per gallon of water. Remember to add a spray pattern indicator and surfactant to you application to get better weed control.

I don't see a way to kill thistle? Is there there any? I went away for 6 days, came back and my garden esp. green bean section was solid with it. The beans never had a chance to come up and can't find them. What do you do. I weed them one by one
Ingrid on Jul 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can use Roundup Pro, but make sure you only get it directly on the weeds, then you can apply a pre-emergent to stop any additional germination.

Response from Solutions Stores
Most herbicides all take that long to kill, you can use Quickpro, which causes the plant to burn quicker so you can see earlier that it is working. Also might depend on the type of weed you are trying to control, harder to kill brush would require a different active such as Triclopyr. https://www.solutionsstores.com/roundup-quikpro-herbicide and https://www.solutionsstores.com/triclopyr-4-brush-killer-garlon-4

Awesome Step 1!
Did an awesome job as step one in a complete lawn renovation. Yellow nutsedge took about 2.5 weeks to really take effect. I'm expecting to deal with the nutsedge next year too.
