RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide, manufactured by Bayer, is a broad-spectrum herbicide that can successfully eliminate many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody brush, and trees.

This emulsifiable concentrate formulation is a post-emergent herbicide that acts as a systemic herbicide with no residual soil activity. RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide will travel from the foliage to the root system of the plant, permanently eliminating the foliage.

RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide works quickly as a non-selective, post-emergent weed killer on a variety of common lawn weeds and grasses. With this higher concentrated version of RoundUp, you will use less product per gallon of water. RoundUp Pro Weed Killer combines the higher concentration of glyphosate with performance technology for optimum weed and brush control with rain fast permanence within one hour.

Tools Needed

To apply RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide, you will need either a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or a skid sprayer. For professionals looking to treat large crop lands and other areas, RoundUp Pro can even be applied from the air with aerial spray equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Depending on the application site, weed, and equipment being used the rates will vary so it would be best to refer to the product label for proper mix rates. For general broadcast applications, unless otherwise specified use this product at the rate of 0.8 to 1.6 quarts of product per 30 to 40 gallons of water per acre for annual weeds, 1.6 to 4 quarts of product per 30-40 gallons of water per acre for perennial weeds, and 4 to 8 quarts of product per 30-40 gallons of water per acre for woody brush and trees. For general backpack or handheld spraying equipment applications, apply 1.6 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Except as otherwise specified, the combined total of all treatments must not exceed 8.5 quarts of this product (8 lbs. of glyphosate acid) per acre per year.
  • Step 2: Once you've determined the amount of RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide you will need, you will need to mix the product. Pour all of the required amount of water in the spray tank, then add in the appropriate amount of product. Mix well to create a thorough solution.
  • Step 3: Now that your solution is ready, apply it to the desired area. When applying RoundUp Pro, make sure spray coverage is uniform and covers at least 50% of the target plant's foliage. If possible, it is best to coat the top half of the plant's foliage to get the best results.

Where to Use

RoundUp Pro Concentrate Herbicide can be used in non-crop areas such as airports, apartment complexes, commercial sites, ditch banks, driveways, dry ditches, canals, fencerows, golf courses, greenhouses, industrial sites, landscape areas, lumberyards, manufacturing sites, municipal sites, natural areas, office complexes, ornamentals, parks, parking areas, pastures, petroleum tank farms and plumbing installations, railroads, rangeland, recreation areas, residential areas, rights-of-ways, roadsides, schools, shadehouses, sports complexes, storage areas, substations, turfgrass areas, utility sites, warehouse areas and wildlife management areas.

This product may also be used in non-food crop sites such as Christmas tree farms, plant nurseries, sod or turf seed farms. It may also be used to prepare CRP land (conservation reserve program) for crop production.

Avoid contact of this product with foliage, stems, exposed non-woody roots or fruit of crops, desirable plants and trees, because severe injury or destruction may result.

When to Use

Apply Roundup Pro Concentrate Herbicide when plants are actively growing. Efficacy will be reduced if the plants were recently mowed, as surface area and the plant's ability to intake the chemical through its vascular system are reduced.

Safety Information

RoundUp Pro Concentrate is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets off treated areas until spray solution has dried.

Special Considerations

Visible effects on most annual weeds occur within 2-4 days, but may not occur on perennial weeds for 7 days or more. Read the product label for RoundUp Pro Concentrate before applying, as it has specific instructions regarding the type of application equipment needed for the specific areas being treated.

Round up pro is a great grass, any kind of weed killer. Starts a little slow but once you see die back and color change it all over. Do look out for your trees cause if you get to much over spray on them there DEAD.

  3. Q:I have Roundup Pro herbicide how much do I mix in a 25 gallon sprayer?
    5/24/21
A:heavy weed cover, 10 ounces of roundup to every gallon. Which equates to 250 ounces of roundup to 25 gallon. That would be 2 gallon of roundup to 25 gallon water. If the weeds are not heavy cover I use 3 ounces of roundup to every gallon water which would be 75 ounces of roundup to 25 gallon of water. Which would be 1/2 a gallon and 12 ounces of roundup. Hope this helps you.
