Quinclorac 1.5 L
Quinclorac 1.5 L
Quinclorac 1.5 L, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a selective post-emergent herbicide, which means that it targets specific weeds while sparing desirable grass which may surround the offending weed when applied.
Aside from targeting crabgrass primarily, the weeds that Quinclorac kills include dandelion and clover which may come up in areas where grass is stressed. When compared to a dry flowable formulation, the new liquid formulation offers superior results and is highly recommended by our staff.
Tools Needed
To apply Quinclorac 1.5 L Herbicide, a pump sprayer, a backpack sprayer or a skid sprayer is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Quinclorac 1.5 L you will need for your application by calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). For spot or broadcast applications, Quinclorac 1.5 L can be applied at a rate of 1.45 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet in a gallon of water. So for example, if you calculated a treatment area of 2,500 sq. ft., you would need to mix 3.625 fl. oz. of Quinclorac 1.5L in 2.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Using a pump sprayer or backpack sprayer, add 3/4 of the amount of water needed to the spray tank. Add the appropriate amount of Quinclorac 1.5L based on your calculations and then fill with the remaining 1/4th of water. Close the lid and shake your sprayer to ensure the product is well mixed. You are now ready to spray. Make 2 sequential applications of 1.0 fl. oz. of Quinclorac 1.5L Select per 1,000 sq. ft. and an additional sequential application up to 0.90 fl. oz. of Quinclorac 1.5L Select per 1,000 sq. ft. at 14- to 21-day intervals.
- Step 3: Spray along the areas where you have Crabgrass and Dandelion or other offending weeds. Use a fan spray nozzle to obtain uniform coverage.
- Step 4: About 2 to 7 days later, it is recommended to irrigate the treated plant area so it filters down into the soil to be picked up by the broadleaf plants that you are trying to get rid of.
Where to Use
Quinclorac 1.5L treats and controls a wide variety of other grasses and broadleaf weeds in residential lawns, commercial establishments, golf courses, military and other institutions, as well as parks, athletic fields, and many others.
When to Use
Quinclorac 1.5 L Herbicide can be applied when targeted weeds on labeled approved areas have already started to grow as the product has to come in contact with the weeds to kill it.
Safety Information
Quinclorac 1.5L Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when making applications or mixing.
Special Considerations
The use of methylated seed oil is recommended to greatly enhance the effectiveness of the product.
