Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is a specially formulated insect growth regulator concentrate that is effective on many tough pests including fleas and mosquitoes.

Formulated with powerful active ingredient Pyriproxyfen 10.00%, which delivers residual efficacy up to 7 months. Once applied, pests such as fleas and cockroaches will be unable to reproduce leading to lower rate of reinfestation.

Pivot 10 IGR is similar to Gentrol IGR and Precor IGR but is photo-stable and lasts longer. Simply dilute with water and spray in areas where pests are active to control the population via sterilizing adults and preventing larvae and eggs from developing.

Tools Needed

To use Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate, you will need either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, foam applicator, or professional skid sprayer for large volume applications. You will also need ULV/fogging systems for use as a ULV or space spray. For residential use, we recommend that you use either a 1-gallon handheld pump sprayer or a hose-end sprayer depending on the coverage area you are treating.

How to Use

Mixing Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate

  • Step 1: Determine how much Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate you will need by calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. You can do this by measuring (in feet) and multiplying the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Pivot 10 IGR application rates can vary from either 4mL, 8 mL, or 12mL in one gallon of water per 1,500 sq. ft. It is recommended to use a higher rate of 12 mL per 1,500 sq. ft. for established infestations. For example, if you calculated an area of 3,000 sq. ft., you would need to mix 24 mL of Pivot 10 in 2 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Fill a hand-pump sprayer halfway with water and then mix the appropriate amount of Pivot 10 IGR into the sprayer. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and agitate until the solution is well mixed.
  • Step 3: Apply a light mist of the product indoors around the carpeted area and wherever conditions could support insect populations. Use a fan spray pattern for best coverage. Outdoors, Pivot 10 may be applied as a general surface spray. Treat all known breeding sites thoroughly (building walls, porches, decks, patios, carports, garages, stagnant water, shady and moist areas, fence lines, and tall grasses.

Where to Use

  1. Q:Can I spray with pets around?
    11/24/20
A:Use protection and common sense when spraying any chemicals. Remove pets and humans from area before spraying. Allow sufficient time for application to dry thoroughly before allowing pets or children into areas.

  2. Q:Comparing IGR for mosquito control to use with BIFEN. Tekko Pro is 1.3% concentration of Pyriproxyfen with 1 oz per gallon; Pivot 10 is 10% Pyriproxyfen but needs more ounces per gallon...makes no sense? Will also mix with ExciteR or Stryker
    3/28/20
A:pivot is in MIL itd 4/8 or 12 ML per gallon 8 ML = 0.28 oz

  3. Q:Is this effective for horse fly or yellow fly larvae?
    2/8/20
A:On the horse fly larvae I will say that the few that did reach adulthood...the appearance seemed deformed, ie... curled or missing wings, missing legs, etc... I doubt seriously they were able to reproduce. I used Pivot 10 in conjunction with Lambda pro, and after a few weeks most of my insect problems were eradicated. Then I just kept reapplying about once a month. I recommend it highly.

  4. Q:We have a huge gnat problem! They are all around us, the horses, the dogs, etc. Is this safe to spray the property where horses are grazing? Dogs are frolicking? We also have chickens that sometimes free range the back yard. Is there a time frame of them having to be off the area then can resume as normal?
    8/20/19
  5. Q:I have treated the soil in my large planter beds twice with this product in order to kill biting midge larvae (aka no-see-ums). I treated once in May and a second time in June. The midges are still there. Does this work on them? If not, what does?
    7/16/19
A:Pivot 10 IGR is labeled for use on Midges. This is an Insect Growth Regulator and will need to be used in conjunction with an Insecticide. We Recommend using our Suspend SC. You will Use 0.25-0.75 fl. Oz of Suspend SC per gallon of water for most treatments. The Pivot 10 will keep the midges from repopulating and the Suspend SC will eliminate.

A:You will use 4 mls of Pivot 10 IGR in the 1 gallon mixture.
