Martin's IG Regulator IGR Insecticide
Martin's IG Regulator IGR Insecticide
Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide, manufactured by Control Solutions, is an effective insect growth regulator (IGR) that prevents juvenile fleas and other pests from developing into biting adults thus controlling future pest populations and biting activities.
The specially formulated insect growth regulator contains the active ingredient pyripoxyfen 1.30%, which disrupts the growth cycle of pests when the eggs or larvae come into contact with the product material for up to 7 months. Whether indoors or outdoors, this long-lasting insect growth regulator continually decreases flea, cockroach, and more pest populations when applied at rates as low as 1 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.
Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide can be diluted with various insecticides while remaining photostable for up to 14 days, allowing it to be used in direct sunlight without lessening the products rate of control.
Tools Needed
To use Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide, you will need a handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or sprinkling can.
For immediate relief of pests, this product may be combined with an insecticide labeled to be used with insect growth regulators.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the treatment areas length and width in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). As a general surface spray, apply Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide at the rate of 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,500 sq. ft. of surface area. Spot applications on lawns, use 1.0 oz. of product per 5 to 15 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For outdoor perimeter applications, use 2 oz. of product per gallon of water then apply at the rate of 1 gallon per 1,000 feet in a band 2 to 4 feet adjacent to and around the structure. For fogging applications, apply 1.5 fl. oz. of diluted product per 12,000 cubic feet.
- Step 2: If using a handheld pump sprayer, add half of needed water to the sprayer, then add the proper amount of Martin's IG Regulator based on your calculations and then optionally add an adulticide to the mixture. Close the lid and shake to mix then add the remaining half of needed water, then shake again to thoroughly mix. You are now ready to spray.
- Step 3: Apply the Martin's IG Regulator mixture to surfaces and areas where you suspect the targeted pest to be active. You could also create a barrier by applying the product in a band of 2 to 4 feet around the structure and at the height of 2 to 3 feet on the walls of the foundation. You can also use a spray treatment on window frames, doors, garage doors, patios, decks, and shutters and around garbage areas.

When using outdoors, apply on warm, calm days when wind speeds are low and rain is not in the immediate forecast.
Safety Information
Martin's IG Regulator Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow children and pets into treated areas until spray has dried and when room has been thoroughly ventilated for at least 2 hours after application.

Q:Safe for indoor?8/23/20A:I have been using the IG Regulator three times in the last 4 years. It works! When I use it, I take the cats out, spray the juice, open doors and windows and only let the cats back when the solution has dried out all over the place (2 or 3 hours, depending on outside temp).

Q:How does this work ?12/26/19A:The IGR works as a “birth control” for insect populations. Martin's IG Regulator is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that prevents juvenile fleas from developing into biting adults. The active ingredient, Pyripoxyfen, disrupts the growth cycle of fleas when the eggs or larvae come into contact with it. Martin's IG Regulator works for 7 months and will gradually lessen and then eliminate the flea population. Martin's IG Regulator is also effective against German, Asian and Brown Banded Cockroaches and prevents nymphs (juveniles) from developing into breeding adults.
