Flea Stoppers
Flea Stoppers
Flea Stoppers, manufactured by Flea Stoppers, is a effective white flea killing granule that kills flea larvae and adults hiding around your home or structure within 3 to 5 days.
This specially formulated product contains the active ingredient orthoboric acid 100%, which has a low toxicity level making it safe for children and pets. Fleas will feed on this flea killing product then start to dehydrate and eventually die. This fine granule allow for easy application while applying to carpet and allows very little to be removed with daily cleaning activities such as vacuuming.
Flea Stoppers conveniently provides vet-quality flea protection without the expense of a vet visit. This 5 lb. flea treatment container for homes and businesses covers 2,000 sq. ft. and works up to 14 days, effectively disrupting the flea life cycle.
Tools Needed
There are no tools needed to apply Flea Stoppers, but you will need a broom to assist you in spreading the granules and getting the product deep within the fibers of your carpeting.
How to Use
- Step 1: Vacuum all carpet thoroughly and dispose of bags contents in an outdoor trash receptacle before application. Determine how much Flea Stoppers to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 1 lb. of Flea Stoppers per 400 sq. ft. of treatment area.
- Step 2: Apply the correct amount of Flea Stoppers directly on the carpet where pets frequently traffics or sleeps. Work materials into carpet fibers and mat with a broom or carpet rake. Any material visible after application must be brushed into carpet fibers or removed. Wait 5 to 7 days before vacuuming.
- Step 3: Allow 3 to 5 weeks to pass after Flea Stoppers application before reapplying. When this time passed you can reapply this product if flea activities continue.
Where to Use
Flea Stoppers can only be applied to indoor carpets.
When to Use
Use Flea Stoppers when you have an indoor flea infestation and want a relatively low-toxic method of handling the infestation.
Safety Information
Flea Stoppers is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Q:Is this safe to use around pet snakes?8/2/19A:I would imagine that it is. As it is raked down deep into the pile, a snake should not come in contact with it directly. It is only Ortho Boric Acid and not harmful to pets. If in doubt, you should contact the manufacturer.

Q:How long untill pets and children are safe after how long, of it being applied to carpets. How long does an "application" actually take?9/12/18A:take pets and children out of area to be treated, vacuum and sprinkle powder on carpet then brush in well with stiff broom...after that, it is safe for pets and children (although i would be cautious with infants that crawl on floor and like to put fingers in their mouths), it may take a few weeks for results with a heavy infestation. The application time depends on how much area you are covering. 1200 sq feet took me an hour

Q:How long do pets need to stay off treated area? I read that once it is dry it is safe for pets to return to the area, but on average, how long does it take to dry?9/5/18A:Flea stoppers is a dry product and is completely harmless to pets when used as directed on the product label. Pets can return to the treated area as soon as the application has been completed.
