PT Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Aerosol
PT Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Aerosol
Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide, manufactured by BASF, is an insecticide designed to provide fast results against fleas and bed bugs. It comes in a ready-to-use pressurized aerosol can that kills targeted insects within 30 minutes to 4 hours after the initial application.
This insecticide provides protection from fleas and kills them for an entire season. Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide also contains an IGR (insect growth regulator) to prevent flea larvae from reaching adulthood and to prevent eggs from ever hatching. It is an easy and clean way to treat indoor areas without mixing or pouring and effective against two of the toughest insects to kill.
Tools Needed
To apply Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Insecticide, you can use it with no extra tools or optionally, you can use the Whitmire Aerosol Delivery Unit System III to apply the product further into cracks, crevices, and wall voids. It can also be applied with or without the applicator straw that comes with the can.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Alpine Flea Insecticide you will need by first calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage) The entire 20 oz. can of Alpine can treat up to 2,625 square feet. For example, if you measured a treatment area of 1,300 sq. ft., you would only use 10 oz. of spray or half of the can.
- Step 2: Shake the can well before spraying any treatments and apply to label approved surface areas for fleas and bed bugs. Hold the can 36" inches away from the area being sprayed. 80 to 100 square feet can be treated within 10 seconds of continuous spray.
- Step 3: When used as a crack and crevice treatment, place the applicator tip into the crack or crevice and spray.
- Step 4: Allow areas to dry before re-entering the area and replacing the bedding.
Where to Use
Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide can be used on indoor surface areas in homes, hotels, commercial areas, and more. It is ideal as a cracks, crevice and void treatment and can be applied to mattresses, furniture, baseboards, carpets, wall coverings, headboards, box springs, and other areas where fleas, bed bugs and roaches hide. Apply Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide along the baseboards from corner-to-corner around the perimeter of the room.
Do not apply Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide onto the entire surface area of mattresses, only into the tufts and folds.
When to Use
Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide can be used when bed bugs and fleas are found in various indoor residential, commercial and industrial areas that require quick control. It can also be used to prevent infestations from occurring by preventing eggs from hatching when applied before flea season.
Safety Information
Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment when applying Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide.
Special Considerations
Alpine Flea & Bed Bug Insecticide is an ideal product for a quick knockdown of targeted pests, and it is suggested to apply a preventative treatment product, such as Flex 10-10 to maintain insect control. Adult fleas may be brought into treated area by infected animals or come from pupal cases, but they will not be able to create populations in those treated areas.

Suffice to say, we were very stressed. Alpine was recommended to me by a friend in the pest control industry. It was quick and easy to apply and the smell dissipated fairly quickly, too.
Although I was told some fleas may still be around for a day or two, our issue was resolved immediately.
Its been almost three weeks and my wife thinks there may be a couple that have recently hatched. Its important to reapply the product after a few weeks and vacuum every day (something I neglected to do)to wake up dormant eggs so the treatment affects them.
I used a can and a half for a 3 bedroom, two story home. I used the product on hardwood, carpeting, and tile as well as the furniture.
