Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent
Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent
Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent is an effective non-ionic low-foam surfactant that is used to enhance various types of pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides. When applied, the active ingredient spreads evenly and help your chosen pesticide remain on treated surface areas for maximum results.
Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent, manufactured by Alligare, is a easy to use non-ionic surfactant that helps increase the effectiveness of various pest control and lawn care products.
With its active ingredient, this surfactant will help to enhance insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides by helping the chemicals stick to treated areas. When used with insecticides, Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent allows the product to remain on treated areas longer so more insects come into contact with the active ingredient. When used with fungicides, this product helps the product spread evenly across damaged areas. When applied with herbicides, it helps the active ingredient penetrate the vegetation and soil so results occur more quickly.
Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent provides quick wetting, more uniform distribution of various insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and PGR's by breaking down the waxy coating on the leaf or plant surface on both dry land and aquatic sites.
Tools Needed
To use Alligare 90, you will need to mix the product with a insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, PGR’s and nutrients in handheld pump sprayers, backpack sprayers, or professional skid sprayers.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent you need to mix in with a selected pesticide. For most applications, Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent can be mixed in at rates between 1/2 pint to 2 quarts of product per 100 gallons of finished solution. For general turf applications, we recommend 1/2 to 4 pints of Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent per 100 gallons.
- Step 2: Create a spray solution in your selected sprayer with your chosen pesticide product. Once you have mixed the pesticide you intend to use, add the desired amount of Alligare 90 to the solution and shake the spray tank to mix.
- Step 3: After mixing with your chosen pesticide, apply the solution mixed with Alligare 90 Surfactant Wetting Agent. Follow the label of the pesticide product you are using to determine where and how often treatment applications will be made.

Q:Can this be used as Soil loosner / Wetting agent?6/7/20A:I think so as most surfactants can be. Something as simple as cheap soap or shampoo could also be used and probably be more cost effective.

Q:I have Diquat and have a lot of hydrilla in the lake behind me. I tried spraying the Diquat and it just floated on the top of the water. Is this what I should use to help it sink to the bottom?3/27/20A:Short answer no. There seems to be a lot of variables regarding submerse plant herbicide treatments. Depending on the Diquat formulation and your application equipment, it might not be the best product for the job. Check out the product label regarding submersed veg. treatments and what they recommend. Plus look into other product formulations like pellets that might be easier to apply depending on your equipment. Good luck!

Q:I use fully strength (41 %) Round-Up (glyphousate) stump application to kill large Russian olive and Autumn Olive shrubs that are invading my property. This works well but is labor intensive. I am trying to kill small Russian olive and small autumn olive seedlings/plants one to four feet tall with foliar application of Round-Up diluted as per label. Because these invasives have waxy leaves, the water based Round-up does not get absorbed. Will this surfactant aid in absorbtion by the leaf or do I need an oil based adjuvant to get through through the waxy leaf.?7/6/18A:Might want to use MSO instead. https://www.solutionsstores.com/methylated-seed-oil-mso https://www.solutionsstores.com/triclopyr-4-brush-killer-garlon-4 and Triclopyr might be a better optoin to kill these shrubs.

Q:I have a small pond for raising koi, which is 14 ft diameter by 3 ft deep. There is a heavy growth of weeds at the very bottom of the pond. I am going to treat with diquat. Do I require a surfactant and could diquat/surfactant be applied by simply stirring the water with a large oar?5/24/18A:I have used the diquat in my pond which is twice as big and two feet deeper without using surfactant and it worked well on my dense infestation on the bottom of the pond.
