Solo Backpack Sprayer 12 Volt Electric
Solo Backpack Sprayer 12 Volt Electric
The Solo 417 Backpack Sprayer 12 Volt Electric is a battery-powered backpack sprayer that is useful for mid-sized pest control and weed control applications around the home or business. **Note: The Solo 417 Backpack Sprayer 12 Volt Electric has been discontinued by SOLO and we do not carry the replacement model. We recommend the Solutions Battery-Powered Backpack Sprayer, an improvement over this Solo model and more economically priced.**
Solo's 12 Volt Electric Backpack Sprayer is a battery powered sprayer that is great for a variety of spraying tasks that are more demanding than what the average hand-pump sprayer can do. You can use it to spray insecticides for pest control, herbicides for weed control and for a variety of other general spraying duties. The sprayer comes with a 60 inch nylon-reinforced hose which delivers extended reach and increased durability. The 18-liter (4.5-gal.) tank is made from durable UV-resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) so it is built to last. It is also equipped with a comfortable padded backpack support frame with wide padded shoulder straps so you won't have to strain yourself during an application.
Tools Needed
There are no tools needed for setting up the backpack sprayer as it comes with all the necessary accessories to charge and operate. All you will need though is a pesticide chemical of your choice to fill up the sprayer tank.
How to Use
- Step 1: Read the instruction manual which comes with the sprayer to heed all the warnings and follow the safety precautions.
- Step 2: Assemble the backpack sprayer according to the instructions in the manual and ensure the battery is fully charged (needs 8 hours to charge fully).
- Step 3: Mix the spraying chemical according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the chemical and properly calibrate your sprayer according to the instruction manual.
- Step 4: Place the backpack sprayer on your back and adjust the carrying straps until they are comfortable yet snug.
- Step 5: Apply the sprayer to the intended area as needed.
Where to Use
The Solo Backpack Sprayer can be used for a variety of spraying applications either indoors or outdoors. Use it to treat for pests indoors and aim into cracks and crevices depending on the pest you want to treat. Outdoors, you can use the sprayer to spot treat weeds or do a full broadcast spray for weed control or use it as a perimeter treatment to keep bugs out.
When to Use
Use the Solo Backpack Sprayer for more labor-intensive heavy treatment jobs that a hand-pump sprayer would not be feasible for.
