Rozol Tracking Powder
Rozol Tracking Powder is a rodenticide used to control rats and mice. The powder is applied in areas where the targeted rodents walk, causing them to ingest it when they groom themselves. It can be easily used between walls and other hard-to-reach areas.
This product is a Restricted Use Product (RUP) and requires a Certified Applicator's License to purchase.
Rozol Tracking Powder, manufactured by Liphatech, is a professional rodenticide used by professional applicators to eradicate rats and mice.
This multi-feed anticoagulant, formulated with chlorophacinone, sticks to the targeted rodent's feet and fur. When the rodents clean themselves and each other, they ingest the poison and die within 24 hours. Within approximately 20 days, the entire nest will be eradicated.
Rozol Tracking Powder is an ideal rat and mouse control product. It offers rodent control in areas that may not be appropriate for other products, such as inside wall voids, tight attic spaces, or manure pits.
Tools Needed
To make applications with this rodenticide, a hand bulb duster that can reach rat burrows or holes or walls is needed.
Where a continuous source of infestation is present, place the tracking powder in tamper-resistant bait stations and replenish the powder as needed.
Do not use power dusting devices.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine dry areas where rats and house mice will most likely pick up the Rozol Tracking Powder on their feet or fur and ingest it during grooming. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings and burrows, in corners and concealed places, in spaces between floors and walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs have been observed.
- Step 2: For house mice, use the rate of 1 oz. of Rozol Tracking Powder per 2.5 sq. ft. of runway area. For Norway and Roof Rats, use at the rate of 2 oz. of product per 2.5 sq. ft. of runway area.
- Step 3: Sprinkle the Rozol Tracking Powder in patches in such a manner as to expose the rats and house mice to it. Patch size may be (but not limited to) 6 inches by 12 inches and should be adapted to each situation. For burrows located along the periphery of buildings and likely to serve as routes of entry into these structures, place about 5 grams of tracking powder in each burrow. Close the burrows with soil, loose leaves, or paper. Using a bulb duster, make applications in the rat burrow or holes or within walls, being careful to make placements in areas that children and pets cannot access.
- Step 4: Check all treated areas daily and reapply for the next 20 days or until rodent activity has stopped. Repeat treatment if burrows are reopened. Wear gloves, and promptly collect and dispose of all visible dead animals and used powder.
Where to Use
Rozol Tracking Powder can only be used indoors and in burrows leading into buildings. It is used only against Norway rats, Roof rats, and House mice inside homes, industrial and agricultural buildings, and similar man-made structures.
This product may also be dusted into rat burrows along the periphery of buildings, likely to serve as entry routes into these structures.
Do not apply powder in areas where it may contaminate water, food, feedstuffs, food or food handling equipment, milk or meat handling equipment, or surfaces that come in direct contact with food. Applications in these areas are limited only to concealed, inaccessible places such as wall voids.
Do not apply powder along walls, corners, or open floor areas. Do not place near or inside ventilation duct openings.
When to Use
Rozol Tracking Powder is for use by licensed professionals only. It can be applied when other rodenticides have failed to eliminate all targeted rodents and when there is a severe infestation.
Safety Information
Rozol Tracking Powder is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Dogs, predatory and scavenging mammals, and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait. If an animal eats tracking powder, call a veterinarian at once.
This product must be placed in locations not accessible to children, pets, domestic animals, or non-target wildlife.
Special Considerations
Rozol Tracking Powder can only be purchased and applied by licensed individuals or those who work under a licensed pest control agency. Do not use a power duster when making applications.
