RoundUp QuikPro SC Total (formerly Esplanade EZ), manufactured by Bayer, is a non-selective pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide that offers excellent control over a broad-spectrum of weeds in non-crop areas, mulched areas, landscape ornamental beds, and more.

This dual action herbicide kills existing weeds and grasses like chickweed plus prevents new weeds and grasses for up to 6 months after application.

RoundUp QuikPro SC Total is absorbed quickly by unwanted vegetation and is rainfast within 30 minutes. This fast drying time means the easy to use herbicide will not wash away easily and works much faster than other products with visible results in hours.

Tools Needed

To use RoundUp QuikPro SC Total, you will need to mix it in a backpack sprayer or a handheld pump sprayer.

Do not apply using a steel sprayer, except stainless steel.

How to Use

Non-Selective Herbicide Application

  • Step 1: Determine how much RoundUp QuikPro SC Total to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 16 fl. oz. of RoundUp QuikPro SC Total per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. around ornamentals and to the top of the soil in labeled sites. Do not apply more than a maximum of 32 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year.
  • Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer with half the amount of water, then add measured amount of RoundUp QuikPro SC Total, and pour remaining half of water into the sprayer. Close the sprayer tank lid and shake until solution is evenly mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the mixed RoundUp QuikPro SC Total as a directed spray to emerged weeds and to the top layer of soil where weeds were previously present for pre-emergent control. Do not allow spray to contact desirable foliage, stems, green bark, or bare roots of turfgrasses, trees, shrubs, or other listed desirable vegetation, since severe damage may result. A subsequent application of this product can be made 4 months after the initial application to extend weed control. Certain hard-to-control weeds can be re-sprayed 1 month after initial treatment only using spot treatment.

Where to Use

Do not use on desirable turfgrass, over-the-top of ornamentals, or around the root zone of herbaceous plants.
