Pasture Pro Herbicide, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is a excellent post-emergent herbicide that kills the most difficult of weeds and allows livestock to graze immediately after the spray has dried.

This low-volume product provides complete broad spectrum weed control with 3 different active ingredients at any point in the season when weeds are present.

Pasture Pro Herbicide delivers exceptional plant killing all the way to the weed and brush roots for total elimination in pastures and lawns. As a result, lawns are free of nutrient robbing foliage with minimum risks to grass and enhanced grazing for livestock.

Tools Needed

To use Pasture Pro Herbicide, you will need to use a backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, power sprayer, spray guns, handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, tow-behind sprayer, ground boom sprayer, or other ground application equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Pasture Pro Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acreage). For pastures and rangelands, apply 1 to 2 quarts of Pasture Pro Herbicide in 2 to 50 gallons of water per acre. For non-croplands, use 1.0 gallons of product in 100 to 400 gallons of water per acre. For broadcast applications on ornamental turfgrass, use 1.0 to 1.5 quarts of product in 100 gallons of water per acre. For spot treatments on ornamental turfgrasses, mix 2/3 to 1.33 fl. oz. of product with 1.0 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Pasture Pro Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank and shake until the solution is mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray Pasture Pro Herbicide until leaves, stems, trunks, and root collars of listed unwanted vegetation until completely covered and wet. Wait until 30 days have passed from the previous application before reapplying this product.

Where to Use

Pasture Pro Herbicide can be used on pastures, rangelands, non-cropland, and ornamental turfgrass (lawns, golf courses, cemeteries, and parks).

When to Use

Use Pasture Pro Herbicide when weeds are young and actively growing. Make applications on days when temperatures are above 75 degrees Fahrenheit, but below 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Safety Information

Pasture Pro Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not transfer livestock from treated grazing areas onto sensitive broadleaf crop areas without allowing 7 days of grazing on an untreated pasture. Otherwise, urine may contain enough picloram to cause injury to sensitive broadleaf plants.

Do not graze lactating dairy animals on treated areas for one year following treatment.

Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 48 hours have passed after application.

Special Considerations

Do not harvest grass for hay from treated areas for one year following treatment of Pasture Pro Herbicide.
