Solutions Live Animal Traps, manufactured by Solutions Pest & Lawn, provide a safe way to relocate various types of animals.
The box style traps come in various sizes and can trap a wide range of animals. Solutions Live Traps are ideal to use in public areas or around the home to trap possums, dogs, feral cats, and more. The traps are also ideal to capture pets that have escaped and difficult to catch.
Solutions Live Traps are safe, convenient, and simple to use for a wide variety of trapping needs.
Tools Needed
Tools are not needed to set a Solutions Live Trap. However, a food attractant to lure the animal in the trap is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Choose the right size trap for type of animal that needs to be removed.
- Step 2: Place the trap in your desired area. Make sure it is on a flat surface. You may need to put a weight on top of the trap in case the pest animal tries to knock the cage over.
- Step 3: Bait and set the trap. Be sure the bait is near the back of the trap to ensure that the animal will need to step on the trigger plate in order to reach the food. Set the trap by pushing on the door lock and lifting the door plate. Keep the door plate lifted while pulling the trigger arm forward to set it. You will know it is set when the trigger arm's hook catches the door.
- Step 4: Check the trap once in the morning and once in the evening. Any non-target animals should be released immediately. Once you have captured your desired animal, check your local authorities to make sure you are correctly relocating the animal. Place a towel over the cage to avoid frightening the animal. works. From reading other reviews, was worried might need to adjust the tension, but worked perfectly. Because of size a little tricky to place hanging bait (I'm 5'), but turned it over and snagged the wire the bait was hanging on thru the cage wire. Best of all, it arrived without being bent. Nice and heavy gauge. Feel better using it with dogs and cats around over my leg/snares.

These traps work for capturing squirrels.
Knew this manufacturer: our pest control company uses this same trap for squirrels. We were besieged by them, gnawing through metal screens to get into the house, and so on. These traps are a bargain, costing $60: the pest control company charges $75 a week to rent them and $50 to relocate each squirrel. They relocated 8 in a week; so far (in 2 weeks) I have done 12 more. I also bought a pair of animal-handler gloves, just to be on the safe side (and that was a good idea).

The trap works quite well, but some squirrels are smart enough to be able to eat without tripping the door. They feed over the flipper without stepping on it. If the whole trap were a few inches longer, I think it would catch even the smartest squirrel.

Awesome trap for catching those furry pests.
The trap was excellent. I really thought that a squirrel was running around and creating havoc in my laundry room but when I set the trap,using a small bowl of nuts as bait, I actually caught a large rat! I would definitely recommend this medium sized cage if you have a rat/squirrel issue.

Great Squirrel trap.....
I bought this trap and caught a squirrel on the second day I set it up.
I had to add some smaller mesh to the sides as the squirrel was able to reach through the cage and grab the bait. Once the mesh was on the sides, they were forced to enter the cage to get the bait.

We had several Squirrels in our garden not too long ago. They pretty much ate all of our nice flowers and chased after the birds to get their nuts. Q:How do I release animals without getting bitten?1/7/21A:I bought and use animal-handling gloves (like vets use): they are long (almost to the forearm). I then put the trap in the back of my SUV, drive to a county park miles away. To release the squirrel (our problem), I position the trap so the opening faces outward. Wearing the gloves, I slowly open the trap door, and they tend to virtually fly out into the woods.
