Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide, manufactured by Agrisel, is an easy to use non-selective, systemic herbicide used to control annual weeds, perennial weeds, and woody plants.

Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide is made with the active ingredient Glyphosate 43.68% and Imazapyr 0.78% that works well to effectively kill the targeted species of broadleaf weed within 6 to 8 months. The active ingredients are compressed as a salt, which makes Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide more dissolvable and compatible with most sprayers. However, due to the active ingredient Glyphosate, the product will target any weeds or grass that comes into contact with the solution. It is ideal to eliminate unwanted vegetation, including your grass.

This product does not take many applications, which makes Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide ideal for around farm buildings, recreational areas, and agricultural uncultivated areas. Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide is an ideal low-use, cost effective liquid product that provides great results with little to no effort.

Tools Needed

To use Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide you will need a handheld sprayer, backpack sprayer, or professional skid sprayer for large scale applications.

How to Use

Spraying Bare Ground

  • Step 1: Determine how much Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find the square footage, measure the length and width of the treatment area, and then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). To find acreage, take your square footage and divide by 43,560 (square footage / 43,560 = acreage). The general application rate is 7.4 fl. oz. (2.5 gallons) of Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide per 1 to 10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For brush, vines, and weeds you will mix 6 fl. oz. of this product per 1 gallon of water. The maximum rate of application of this product for general vegetation or brush, vines, and weeds is 2.5 gallons of this product per acre per year.
  • Step 2: To mix, fill your sprayer halfway with water. Pour in the required amount of Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide based on your calculations. Fill your sprayer the rest of the way with water and shake the sprayer to mix thoroughly.
  • Step 3: On a fan spray nozzle setting, apply the Gly Pho-Sel Plus Herbicide to the target areas until they are completely wet but making sure not to spray to the point of runoff. Additional applications may be needed if treating densely packed weeds or mats. Within 6 to 8 months after first application make another application if needed.

When to Use

Special Considerations

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:Label says 6 to 8 months to see results. I used this last year and in one week grass burrs dead dead dead. I this a misstatement?
    5/2/22
A:Unfortunately, without knowing the current condition, application site, physical identification of the weed, or mixing process it is hard to say why this occurred. It does state on the label "Re-treatment every 6 to 8 months may be necessary in areas of heavy rainfall."
