Drexel F.M.-160
Drexel F.M.-160
Drexel F.M.-160, manufactured by Drexel, is a high quality foaming agent that eliminates spray gaps and overlaps during pesticide and fertilizer with foam generating equipment.
This temperature stable formula produces a dense and quickly visible white foam that lasts for a sufficient amount of time after application, ensuring uniform coverage.
Drexel F.M.-160 works in range of conditions such as water hardness, humidity, and varying temperatures.
Tools Needed
Drexel F.M.-160 will need to applied with a type of foam generating equipment. It would also be beneficial to have a type of field marking system to make applications easier.
How to Use
- Step 1: To produce a good quality foam, be certain to flush and clean the foam generating equipment thoroughly before each use. Apply Drexel F.M.-160 at a rate of 1 gallon per 160 gallons of water. This dilution rate will produce an adequate amount of foam from most types of foam generating equipment. The best dilution rate depends on water hardness, equipment, and required foam persistence.
- Step 2: Fill foam generator one-fourth full with water and add the required amount of Drexel F.M.-160. Add enough water to fi ll foam generator to one-half full. Do not fi ll above one-half full as this may impair the operation of the foam generator.
- Step 3: The ideal foam consists of small tight cells and is not so dry as to blow away or so wet that it has no body. Reduce air pressure if foam is wet and is coming out as a creamy liquid. Use less of Drexel F.M.-160 per unit volume of water or increase air pressure if foam is too dry. Foam droppings of 3 to 5 inches in diameter are recommended for better visibility and longer stability.
Where to Use
Apply Drexel F.M.-160 in field-marking systems when using pesticides and fertilizers.
When to Use
Use Drexel F.M.-160 when you wish to avoid costly gaps and overlaps with pesticides and fertilizers.
Safety Information
Drexel F.M.-160 is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Special Considerations
Foam life of Drexel F.M.-160 will vary with water hardness, humidity, temperature, and soil moisture content.
